Green Hills Farm, home to the Pearl S. Buck Estate, is the 60 acre location in Bucks County, Pennsylvania where Nobel-prize-winning American author Pearl Buck wrote and thrived for 40 years of her life, raising her family, pursuing humanitarian interests, and gardening.
The Pearl S. Buck House at Green Hills Farm, built in 1825, is constructed of coursed fieldstone. When Buck initially bought the farm, she made widespread modifications and additions to the farm, including a 2 story fieldstone wing added to the east gable along with 2 libraries. Today, visitors can explore 12 rooms and visit the pre-Revolutionary War cottage on the goods.
