Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I do all types of editing, hand coloring, b&w, sepia, and more. I offer as little or as much as you would like, all edits are included in my print pricing. They are not extra, they are included.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I've shot, low incandescent lighting, overcast, bright sun, and my equipment handles most any situation. I shoot both full natural light, as well as with flash. I find shooting in combination gives me the skills to adjust to capture a moment with which ever technique tells the story best.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I'm fully digital.
How many photographers do you work with?
We are a Mother Daughter Photography team.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
My contract covers my guarantee. A copy will be made available to you during your consultation so you can review the details.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I only do one wedding per weekend. I really put my heart into a job, and only take on a few a month, so that your wedding is my priority with no distractions.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
I do have a few colleagues I can ask to fill in if they are available.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
My equipment is always changing as I add new camera's lens, and lighting equipment. I'm ready for it all.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, I have back ups for all my equipment.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I have rates for both situations. You can hire me full day, or at hourly pricing. I do this so that either way, small wedding, or large I'm affordable for both.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
If you hire me hourly and time is up, I approach the bride and groom and ask if they want more coverage, or if they are satisfied with the coverage for their day. Each additional hour is $100.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I do not take any official breaks, nor do I require them. I fit them into the natural flow of the wedding day where I'm sure I won't miss a moment of import. I ask in my contract for a person to be assigned to make sure I'm informed of timing of special moments such as cake cutting etc. This helps me and the wedding party to be in the same places at the same time. As I may be photographing dancing guests when the bride and groom are rushed into cake cutting.
Do you charge for travel?
If I am traveling over a 100 miles round trip I charge a $1 per mile. If I'm flown out of state, you provide me with a flight, and a room where the guests are assigned to stay. I'll provide my own meals.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Depending on my work load for the month, they are available within 7-21 days after your event.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Proofs are first seen on my website, and can be viewed on CD-ROM if requested.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Proofs are online for 3 months at least, usually longer.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I do retain my copyright. Clients who are receiving a disk in their package, are given personal use rights.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
I do request the right to publish my photo's. If for some reason the bridal party does not want them used I will respect their request. Their online album will be given a password.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
I offer disk options. If not included in package digital files become available 4 years after the event. Until then I have them backed up, burned onto DVD-rom, and I provide an off site back up storage system. This is to insure that even if my home had a fire your images would still be stored safely.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes. There is no time limit. If I do happen to need space and your event was well into the past, I would send you notice that I would soon be removing your event from the online gallery, so that if you had any orders you wanted to place you could do so before the event went off line.
What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer several options, from affordable coffee table style, to fully customized magazine lay out, made in Italy albums. I have a full selection to meet any budget.
When will the client get the final album?
From the time your album layout is approved by you and goes to print, from 5 -12 weeks depending on the time of year, and company we go with.
