What is your usual attire?
Appearance is from DJ attire to equipment, we have a more professional appearance than most DJ's proper attire reflects a positive image to your guests. Party Specialists, Inc. dress formal unless you request otherwise.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
Yes!
How many other DJs do you work with?
We work with eight DJ/MC's and bilingual.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
Two Hours.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Yes!
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
Yes we have music from around the world and love putting together international events.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes! Only state of the art equipment and lighting like: Denon, Toshiba, Rane, Ultimate, SKB, Martin, American DJ, Chauvet, Furman, Western Digital, Arriba, Shure, Numark, and JBL you will never see cords, milk crates or rusted mismatched components thrown into cardboard boxes or old beat up broken home stereo equipment at a Party Specialists, Inc. event.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
Professional Equipment LED & Laser Lighting, and Beautiful Up-Lighting, 46 Par's Bubble and Fog.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
An average of 1 hour should be allowed for set-up and sound check and depending on the location and set-up difficulty & yes six foot table.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
No! Please allow enough room between our set-up and your tables so that your guests are not sitting next to our sound system
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
Yes! we MC your event and speak and interact when we think it's ok.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
This is your option and not required. For a normal 4-hour event (Including set-up and break-down time) we could be at the venue location nearly 8 hours. Should you choose to provide a meal for the DJ, the convenience is warmly appreciated.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
Yes! We only break for restroom.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes!
What is your overtime rate?
Depends on the event.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
There is never a charge. We travel from the Keys to Past Palm Beach and west to Naples & Ft. Myers Florida.

What is the price to hire a professional DJ? It depends on how many hours and the type of event. What about signing a contract? Party Specialists, Inc. gives all clients a copy of our entertainment contract signed by both parties. Disc Jockey service that has no contract agreement may lead to serious problems at your event. How much of deposit do you need to hold my event date? The deposit is 50% of the amount and the balance is to be paid on the day of your event. Do you have a video of the DJ doing the event? If you’re not familiar with the DJ a video can pick out the pros from Mr. Microphone. Please invite us for you to see any of our DJ’s in action at the event in your home or business. How many years have you been in business and experience do you have? Party Specialists, Inc. has been around since 1997 Experience brings knowledge of common problems and situations. Be sure your DJ has experience with your type of event. Party Specialists, Inc. designates the appropriate personality for your event. it’s not about how long your in business, it’s about how many weddings or bar/bat mitzvah’s have you done. You can be in business for 25 years and not know how to do your type of event. Can we see you at a event? I’m sure you would not like a DJ company to invite their clients to your event to make a sale on your special day, Party Specialists, Inc understands the privacy issue. Are you licensed? do you have insurance? and are we dealing with a real company? We are licensed with the city of miramar and broward county, and incorporated (INC.) with the state of florida. We carry 1 million dollar commercial liabilty insurance policy. if you need a copy of our binder, once you have provided fax number or e-mail address to send it to, we will take care of providing our insurance policy to the facility. Remember anyone can tell you they are a legal company operating in the state of florida, asked them to show you proof. How far in advance should I book your services for my event? You can book whenever you like, the earlier the better. Our bookings are on first-come, first-served bases and are secured upon a signed contract and deposit. Are we guaranteed the DJ of my choice on the day of the event? A written contract with your specific entertainer guarantees you will have no surprises on the day of your event. It is a good idea to put an initial payment down as soon as you find the person you prefer. Reputable DJ’s will often be booked a year or more in advance on peak days. Do you charge a set-up and breakdown fee? You do not pay for set-up or break-down time. Equipment is set-up and the sound is checked long before your first guest arrives. For every event, this is on our time. My buddy said he could be Ipod DJ Why should I hire a professional DJ instead? Party Specialists, Inc. DJ’s are not “weekend warriors”. This is our full time career, and it is one that we are proud of and enjoy. Anyone can just bring a ipod to your party and play music, but there really is a lot more to it. Party Specialists professional DJ’s bring with them their expertise, thousands of song titles, and professional equipment. A professional knows how to read the crowd and tailor the music to the guests. A professional knows how to keep the party flowing at a fun pace so you don’t lose half your guests in the middle of the party. These are talents that you can’t succeed at when you only “practice” on the weekends. Anyone can simply play music, but a Professional Party Specialists, Inc. professional DJ provides musical entertainment. How loud will it be? I know DJ’s go crazy with alot of base. You don’t have to worry about that with us. We keep our speakers on stands and project the music over the tables or direct it toward the dance floor and we make sure that all music is played at a respectable level. we have no control over the size of the room so make sure the DJ is not next to or behind any of your guests tables I would like to get some References? We have the names of many customers who will tell you to hire no one but Party Specialists, Inc. Over 50% of our yearly business is from referrals, repeat customers and word-of-mouth! references upon request. Does the DJ smoke, drink alcohol, do drugs? DJ will not consume alcohol or take cigarette breaks. doing drugs at event It’s not our company policy and unprofessional to do so. What type of music do you have? Our music collection alone speaks for our experience: in MP3 & CD format only, a great selection of songs from Swing to Rap music for all occasions, seventy years of music more than any DJ service in the South Florida area! Will you allow music requests for my guests? Requests are welcome. If a song seems inappropriate, a good DJ will explain the reason and ask your guests for alternative selection. If you don’t want requests please tell us and your guests before the event. How Many Songs Can I Pre-Select? To avoid customers going overboard and giving us more songs than we can play within the contract times, we limit your pre-selected requests to top 20 "must play" If you provide your DJ with a long list of songs that usually leaves no room for the DJ to use his experience to read the crowd or take requests. If you are creating a list for a wedding reception, there is no need to include any special dances on this list since it will be on your wedding planner. Can we have a "do not play" list? Yes. This is very important to assuring your enjoyment at your party. We are always careful to avoid any selections that could be considered beyond the limits of good taste. Any preferences you have will be honored. How much gratuity should I give the DJ? Gratuity is not expected, but our DJ’s do work hard to provide you with the best possible event and appreciate any show of recognition that you might deem appropriate. Gratuity typically range from 15% to 20% to "wow, you were incredible and we’ll never forget this day!"
