Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I enjoy editing photos: retouching, black and white, sepia and even colored flowers with the rest of the photo being black and white. All editing is included in my prices.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
My favorite wedding photos are taken outside in the natural light but I do have experience shooting in dimly lit churches.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I shoot all my weddings digitally.
How many photographers do you work with?
I like to have two photographers at an event but sometimes there is just one.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, I will be the main photographer at your event.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I never book myself for more than one wedding a day and never have I had two weddings in one weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I prefer simplicity. I have my camera, a back up camera, tripod, flash and my photo checklist!
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes!!
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I have three packages ranging from three hours to seven hours, but can accomodate an hourly wage if necessary.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
I am available for overtime work (sometimes wedding day events are just out of times control) and my rate is $50 per half hour
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
If I am working your wedding for six hours or more, I only take a break once to eat.
Do you charge for travel?
I do not charge for travel if your location is within 50 miles of Frederick.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Online proofing will be ready about two weeks after your event. A proof album will be available about four weeks after your wedding.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Online proofing will be thumbnails with an option to look at the image larger and in a slideshow. Proof books contain approximately 6 images on each 8.5x11 page.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Online proofing will only be available for about 4 months. But a proof book is yours to keep!
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I charge a copyright release fee so you can own the copyrights with me--if you choose.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, when you sign my wedding contract, you agree to allow me to use tasteful photographs from your wedding for my website, advertising or portfolio. Thank you in advance!
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
If you purchase the copyright released photo disc for $150, we then share the copyright.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, you and your guests will have access to online proofing and order forms.
What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer beautiful flush mount albums. You choose the photos and I design the album.
When will the client get the final album?
Once you have chosen your photos, it will take about two weeks to design the album and then it gets sent to the printer. It then takes about a month and a half to get the final product.
