About

Orange Cat Photo is owned by Dana Andreasson, a Carolina grad that began her pursuit as a photojournalist. She has documented all walks of life including rural living in South Africa and Papua New Guinea. She has also covered high profile events such as a visit from President Bill Clinton to George W Bush. She has also been named the recipient of the prestigious Documentary Photojournalist Grant from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Now her interest has turned to documenting weddings. With a balance of journalism, art, and emotion her images have captured the heart of the wedding day.

With an attentiveness to great detail, Dana sees unique art in the simplest of settings. She can create an amazing shot in the most ordinary surroundings. She has an art gifting in both photography and putting people at ease. It's a delight to work with an amazing artist and such a delightful person. We can't wait to share a wedding with her again!!! Not even distance would prevent me from recommending Dana Andreasson for our brides.
Orange Cat Photo was a pleasure to work with. She was friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend her to my future Brides for photography and look forward to working with her again!

Tips and Advice

First and foremost - Relax and HAVE FUN! It is so easy to get wrapped up in all the logistical details of the day, but let it go and just enjoy the moment.  Take a minute of each hour to look around and experience what is going on around you.  The day will fly by and after all of the planning it will amaze you how quickly it ends!
