About

Congratulations on your Engagement!

Enjoy this time in your life.... It only happens once, so take it all in. Relax, and appreciate every little nuance of this crazy time!

I am a photographer by trade, and I run this business with my beautiful bride Sarah. She's the one in the photos with the train. We had some fun at Union Station a little bit ago. We are a pretty normal couple with some weird quirks here and there. We love deep conversations, hot showers, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, The Office, a good bottle of chilled white wine, and we live for Jesus Christ. This isn't just a business for us. This is a way to connect with new people. We love meeting fun couples like us. We enjoy making friends with people as they are going through one of the most fun times in their lives.

We just got married in March, so we can relate to every step of your wedding from rude vendors, to your guests being vague on whether they can come to your wedding or not. We are not just your photographers, we usually help you plan your whole day to make it run the smoothest as possible. We take it upon ourselves to help reduce the stress inherent in every wedding. We are available to talk at any time to smooth out almost any situation.

So sit back, relax, and let us guide you.

What do your packages include?
Albums, Custom Graphic Design, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
There are usually 5-10 photos in each wedding that I am truly proud of, and I custom edit those. They always end up in the albums.. But of course when brides order their wall portraits I custom edit those too so they look the best they possibly can.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Yes, the equipment we use is designed for use in pretty much any lighting situation. I love a challenge.

Is your media preference film or digital?
I love digital... The instant feedback is key when I'm shooting portraits. There's nothing like showing my brides the back of the camera to help put them at ease that they look absolutely stunning. And I can get some HUGE prints made out of the images. Sometimes I get orders for a 40" x 60" Canvas Gallery Wrap... I love those.

How many photographers do you work with?
I work with my wife Sarah, you'll love her. On a particularly large wedding we shoot with three photographers in order to capture everything.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes

No... one wedding a day. Weekend? Sometimes, but I don't like to make myself crazy. I've limited myself to 25 weddings a year.

Additional Questions and Answers

I am a privileged man
Right now as I’m writing this I’m reminded of how important photography is. All day long, the news channels are showing nothing but smoke, fire, houses burning, and people being evacuated with only their clothes, their pets, and their photo albums. It brings tears to my eyes knowing that what I do for a living, photographing PEOPLE at both important, and un-important points in there lives matters. I am privileged to help people remember. I am fortunate to provide living memories for people who no longer have their family or friends. And I cannot take it for granted. The only pieces I have left of my grandparents are photographs, and a little video. And every time I look at those photos I’m reminded of the love I had for them, and how much they loved me.

While I am safe on the other side of the Valley, the Los Angeles Station Fire is causing many to lose their homes, and even their lives. The smoke and ashes that drift through the air remind me of our impermanence on this earth. They remind me to enjoy every moment. To take it all in. I am forced to photograph everything so I can look back at the end of the day, and remember the smile on Sarah’s face, remember how obvious it is that my client is still in love with his wife after 37 years, and be reminded of the small things that matter so much right now, but would be forgotten if it weren’t for my trusty Canon DSLR.

Enjoy the site, and God bless!
