Is your media preference film or digital?
I shoot with digital bodies, though I've been trained in flim.
How many photographers do you work with?
With the request of the client, I work with a 2nd shooter.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, it will be me capturing your wedding day.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Not for the same day. Yes, the same weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes. I network with many other photographers and we all cover one another in case of emergency.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
2 camera bodies, back up camera, telephoto zoom lenses, prime lenses, multiple flashes, extra batteries, radio tranceivers, and my skills.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes. I have back up equipment for the back up equipment.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Full day only.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes, overtime as needed. I charge $400/hr extra.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
One. That's usually to eat during the dinner portion of the wedding. I don't know too many people who like to have their photos taken w/ a mouth full of food.
Do you charge for travel?
If it's outside the 50 mile radius from San Francisco, then yes. $2 per mile.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
4 - 6 weeks after the event.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Website and low resolution files on a DVD.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
They are yours.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes. I retain all copyrights for all photos. My clients retain rights to print and online sharing.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. I'll make you famous!!! Of course, I won't if you don't want to be.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes. I provide a DVD w/ medium resolution (up to 8 X 10 printing capability).
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes. My website has a section for online proofing for my clients.
What kind of albums do you offer?
Coffee table books and leather covered, flush mount albums.
When will the client get the final album?
4 weeks after you approve the proofs.
