Nika Tang is a local San Francisco designer. Her main focus is on creating interesting and custom-made couture and wedding gowns. Each design is unique and plays with the texture of the fabric and the cut of the material. She believes each dress should be made for the person wearing it. Her 2009 Bridal Collections incorporates chiffon, lace, organza and beading to create elegant bridal pieces. 2010 Bridal collections is an ode to silhouettes and movement and will be launched summer 2009.

She also creates various other collections for special projects, fashion shows, and events. Her urban men’s line is created using clean lines, suit and velvet fabrics and adornments to add an edge to modern looks. Her summer 2008 swim wear collection incorporates small bustles for the skirt and ruffles for the top to add to the classic looks of summer. She has also a tribal collection using leather, studs and trinkets and huge headresses made entirety by hand from feathers. Her casual wear collections can be found throughout San Francisco in independent and exclusive boutiques.

For wedding dresses and special events, please contact 3 month to 4 months in advance to provide enough time for design, creation and any last minute alterations. Rush orders are available but will depend on the design and fabric availability.

Nika Tang Bridal Collections is housed in our intimate new bridal salon, Salon Studio 2000 located at 6050 Geary Blvd, Ste. 101 in San Francisco easily accessible by driving down Geary. In our salon, you will find custom jewelry and hat creations as well as creations by other designers, specializing in honeymoon wear, evening wear, and more. Salon Studio 2000 is a "full-service" bridal salon. We have an in-house team of bridal specialists in makeup, hair, wardrobe, jewelry, floral, photography, video and more. We also have an extensive network of fashion and bridal experts who can help you in your daily and special event needs.

We also have monthly salon trunk shows and parties, complimentary hair and makeup trials, image classes, and more. You will also find us represented in many runway shows, fundraisers, and non-profit events to support our San Francisco community.

Nika is an amazing person and a very talented designer, I was fortunate enough to be her wedding photographer and I saw first hand all the amazing gowns she made for herself and all the bridesmaids. Beside her talent she is very pleasant to work with. If you are looking for an amazing gown, not just for your wedding Nika should definitely be on the top of your list.

Planning a wedding is a huge project. It’s best to enjoy the process and take it slow. Deciding on a dress may be one of the top two items on your list besides finding a venue. Get ideas, read about different designs, and try on styles even if they may not be what you first see yourself in; sometimes, a dress on the actual person will change and look completely different. It’s also good to have some sort of budget so that you know how much you can afford. Having your ideas and budget in mind, visit multiple salons and make the best choice.
