About Us
Newagen offers a spectacular location at the water's edge with a quintessential lighthouse, coastal islands and the crashing surf of the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop.
Our unique location on 20 acres of oceanfront property has delighted brides and grooms for generations. Wedding ceremonies, elegant receptions, Lobsterbake rehearsal dinners and bridal luncheons have been performed in many locations around our beautiful property at the edge of the sea:
- On our expansive lawn or oceanfront deck
- In a delightfully decorated gazebo
- Under an elegant, festive tent, oceanfront
- In sun-lit indoor spaces with views of the sea & islands
The Boothbay Harbor region has tremendous beauty and activities to keep everyone busy. You might consider a traditional lobster bake on our lawn for a rehearsal dinner, a sunset cruise around the harbor, or a whale-watching excursion, all of which our on-site
Wedding Coordinator can coordinate.

I've worked alongside Jason during weddings at the Newagen Seaside Inn. (I provided photography services for the bride and groom as he coordinated all the wedding services provided by the Newagen.)
The Newagen is one of my very favorite venues for shooting weddings, and it's not just because it's a lovely property. It's also because Jason has an extremely calming and cheerful personality that defuses any potential problems. He is a terrific "people person" and maintains an even keel in situations which might become stressful in less-capable hands. When a couple tells me their wedding is at the Newagen, one of the first things out of my mouth is "you're going to love working with Jason." |
