How many planners do you work with?
A Modern Proposal is run by myself, Julianne. I do hire an asssitant for each wedding to assist during the busy part of the wedding - just before the ceremony to the start of the reception. They assist as needed.
 
What style of wedding do you specialize in planning?
I don?t think there is a particular style that I specialize in, other than simply fabulous!
 
What sizes of weddings have you coordinated in the past?
I have worked on weddings ranging in size from 75 people ? 250 people. I have assisted on weddings in size of 400+ guests.
 
Which venues have you worked at or are familiar with?
I have worked in various venues in the Edmonton and Jasper area.

Are you certified, if so by whom?
Not only am I certified by the WPIC, I also hold an Event Management certificate from Mount Royal College.

Do you accept referral fees or commissions from vendors or services?
No. I do not believe in kickbacks, I refer all vendors based on their previous performance, quality of service, efficiency and professionalism. I then refer my clients to the most appropriate vendors in their price range and discuss the options with the client. This ensure that the client is happy with the service I have given them and they are happy with the vendor selection, and does not overwhelm the client with choices.

Are your assistants certified?

Yes. The ladies I choose to work with me have been WPIC certified and I have previously worked with them and completely trust them.

Do you have an emergency kit?
Absolutely! It has everything from a pair of scissors to smelling salts!

Do you have staff or a back-up system in case you become unavailable on our wedding day?
Yes, I have never become unavailable for a wedding that I have been coordinated. However, in the event of this situation, I do have a network of certified wedding coordinators – all of whom are just as skilled and ready to take over your wedding.
