There honestly aren't enough words to describe how great and amazingly talented Michelle is. My husband and I live in NJ and wanted to have our wedding at Duke University Chapel in Durham. We researched a bunch of NC-native photographers online, but when we saw Michelle's work on her website, we knew she was right for us! She had previously done a period piece photoshoot for the 1920s era. The shots were incredible! The theme for our wedding was 'Old Hollywood' and '1940s glamour', so we weren't just looking for any photographer. We needed someone who could capture the 'feel' we were trying to achieve and 'got' our film noir concept... AND someone who was organized enough that she could conduct business with us predominantly over the phone and e-mail due to geographical distance.

We went down to NC in May for our engagement shoot, and Michelle knocked our socks off. Ginger Mullins, a colleague of Michelle's, did my hair and make-up and it was just perfect to go along with our theme. (She's also an amazingly talented professional.) We flew in from NJ earlier that day and had tons of vendors to meet with, so by the time it came for us to do the shoot, we were about 2 hours behind. Michelle was more than accomodating and even flagged our car down on the dark road using her cell phone as a light when it was too dark for us to find the venue for our shoot. She booked us the venue for the shoot (which was perfect!!), and even got us extended time there so we could really get the shots we desired.

That's the type of photographer Michelle is. She'll bend over backwards to give you exactly what your looking for. She's got an artistic eye and flare all her own, but the ability to really listen, understand and conceptualize what her clients want, and on top of that, deliver way beyond expectations.

When it came to the wedding day, Michelle was moving non-stop! She was all over getting the shots we wanted, and even when it came to less than pleasant relatives, she followed through with our photography wishes and handled herself with grace. She followed us from the Chapel, to the Gardens, to campus (and even risked getting her car towed to get us a shot in front of K-ville - obligatory for any Duke graduate), and then back to our reception hall. She's got unceasing energy, and she's FUN to boot!

She made us comfortable, laughed with us, and always kept the mood light. On top of everything, her pricing is beyond fair and worth every penny.

I'd strongly recommend her to anyone looking to capture their special day with a unique vision that sets it apart from the 'typical' wedding.
