About Me
I was born and raised in Amherst, MA and have always had a love of art, which runs in my family. I began studying photography in high school and my relationship with the camera grew and matured throughout college. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts with BA in Art and Photography, and have been photographing weddings ever since. I love what I do. So much so that I usually cry at some point during every wedding because I am such a hopeless romantic! I try and remain as unobtrusive as I can, letting events occur as they would naturally. I feel that the best photograph is the one where a person’s true feelings are exposed naturally, without knowing that they’re being photographed. My enthusiasm for my work is fueled by the opportunity to encounter and introduce those feelings to others.
As a wedding videographer I have had the opportunity to work with many photographers. Melissa's work is amongst the best I've seen and I was absolutely blown away by the photos she took when we worked together. She has an incredible eye for details and capturing incredible moments and her processing is amazing. We had a great time working with her and I know the couple loved their photographs. If your wedding photos are important to you then you can't go wrong if you hire Melissa to shoot your wedding. She will exceed your expectations and then some.
