About Us

At the Mattatuck Museum, you will find that our rooms are unique and unlike traditional banquet halls and hotels. The Mattatuck Museum is the culture in the center of Waterbury. Within its exhibits, spacious galleries, restaurant, 200 seat performing arts center, and outdoor courtyard, tens of thousands of people enjoy fine dining and great parties, music and theater.

Renowned architect Cesar Pelli joined the monumental stature of a former Masonic Temple to a dramatic entrance wing and terraced courtyard. Visitors to the Mattatuck can delight in the exciting architectural design as they celebrate
special occasions.

The Performing Arts Center

Located on the Museum’s third floor, this spacious room features a sophisticated sound and lighting system in a theatrical setting of rich mahogany paneling. With a seating capacity of 200 theater style, this room can also accommodate up to 180 guests for a seated event. The stage makes this room ideal for meetings, weddings and performances.

The Munger Room

Located on the Museum’s main floor, the Munger Room offers versatile space for small meetings and receptions accommodating up to 75 guests. As many as 50 guests can be served seated. During the evening, the Munger Room, main lobby and courtyard garden make an ideal location for cocktail parties.
