Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We understand light better than most, so we do most of our "coloring" through the camera, but every image you select will be edited to the point of CAN'T GET MORE BEAUTIFUL!
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
ABSOLUTELY! Of course the light of an outdoor wedding is mostly supplied by God, but indoor lighting can be tricky. That's why we have a bag full of tricks that you will love. Concentrate on your ceremony and leave the lighting up to us! We have it mastered!
Is your media preference film or digital?
Digital all the way! Jay shot film for 15 years, but we live in a digital age now, so......
How many photographers do you work with?
When you hire us, you get us both for your wedding. Jay is the master photog and Pj is the second shooter. It's great to cover your wedding details from two angles and perspectives. It makes for a much more interesting Storybook that will depict your unique wedding story. The books are AWESOME, and I SO love to create them! WOO HOO!!
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
As guarantee as we can get. Never missed a wedding or was late.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
NEVER NEVER NEVER! Your wedding last the whole weekend for us. We prepare all of our lights and gear the night before the "big game" then turn in early so to be perfectly rested and ready to go when we awake. The next day is SHOWTIME! We prepared to not leave one of your wedding moments uncaptured! The third day is devoted to all smiles as we enjoy the first sights of your gorgeous images during download day. After all that....we rest, because like you...we will need one. Then comes marvelous Monday which is spent editing and building your galleries so they will be ready when you get home from your honeymoon. Yep! It's a big job, but we love what the lord put us here to do, so it's not a chore but a pleasure.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
We are in process of establishing a new "we got hit by a mack truck and need a backup shooter" vendor now. Will update this section soon.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
More like what do we not bring? The "Blue Lightening" <--my cool little Kia Sportage is loaded down with our gear! It's so much fun! We shoot Nikon D200's, D60's along with a SB800's & B600 lighting, the whole shabang in lenses ranging from simple 50mm all the way to our new 70-200mm/1.8 and fisheye lens, stands, umbrella's, clamps, batteries, and it goes on and on and on.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
We have back up to our back up...ha! Seriously though, we do.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Your wedding scenario will be based on your needs. We do not have time to stand around staring at the clock while the most important day of your life is unfolding. You and I will be planning all those details well in advance of your wedding so I (nor you) will feel a need to think about it during the wedding. WORKS EVERY TIME!
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
And miss something grand to photograph? NO WAY!
Do you charge for travel?
If we need to travel or sleep over to the extent of it being costly (Destination Weddings, etc) we will discuss that in the beginning stages of our planning. Otherwise, don't sweat it.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
When you get home from your honeymoon, shoot me an email and let me know. We'll be ready! :)
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Digital. You will come over and check it all out on our 52" screen. It's so much fun!
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Once we view them together we upload them to the site for you and all the world to see!
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
You can purchase it! (And a lot of brides do.)
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Your galleries will be published to our website, and possibly here on Wedding Wire.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
If you purchase the copyright you will get a copy of each image in your wedding gallery in digital format, ready for you to use any way you would like.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, as stated.
What kind of albums do you offer?
Lots of different things. My favorite is the genuine leather Storybook Wedding Album. It is personally and creatively designed by me and depicts the personality and adventure of your wedding day perfectly.
When will the client get the final album?
Typically about 3 weeks after you have made your final selection of images you want used in the book.
