Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
There is no limit to what we offer as far as enhancements and color effects. We usually show a mixture of color, black and white, and sepia in most colletions. When it is most appropriate for the image, we apply many different effects, such as: selective color, vintage grunge effects, soft glow, and much more.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
We use a variety of lighting techniques. The setting and amount of light in that setting effects what will best suit the image. Natural lighting is used in most cases, while top of the line flashes and lighting are also used in certain cases to give the image a specific effect.
Is your media preference film or digital?
We shoot entirely in digital format with professional level Canon digital cameras and lenses. One of the most amazing aspects of digital photography is what can be done after the image is shot. We have a highly talented team of photoshop experts who adjust each image to its personal perfection.
How many photographers do you work with?
Having more than one photographer enables us to work more efficiently and effectively on your wedding day allowing us the opportunity to capture the priceless moments that take place throughout the day that may otherwise go unnoticed. We usually have 1-3 photographers/assistants during a wedding day.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Since 1985, our studio has been there through the thick and thin! We have never missed a wedding! Possibly sick as a dog...but always there to make sure your day is documented.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Rarely do we book more than one wedding in a weekend. We only do so if there is a variable amount of time between the two events.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
As said, we work with more than one photographer, and show up no matter what.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Our packages are calculated by the hour. The best part about this is that the more hours required, the more you receive (album pages, save the date cards, prints, etc)
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes. If we shoot overtime, we add on a certain amount per thirty minute increments. You can also easily upgrade to the larger package and receive more for your money.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
None. We are available for the whole time allotted.
Do you charge for travel?
We charge for travel outside of our county. However, the charge is very minimal. It merely covers our driving costs.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
The wedding proofs are typically ready within 2-4 weeks of the event.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
We place the images in an online gallery for 90 days for you and your friends and family to view them. You, the bride and groom, will also receive a CD of all images and a first edition set of 4x6 prints.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
90 days max...after which, the images will come offline.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
If a certain package is purchased, you will receive the copyright for the images.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
If a certain package is purhcased, we will retain the copyright for the images.
What kind of albums do you offer?
Do you offer traditional style or digital coffee table albums?
We offer what ever style album your heart desires! many people love the traditional album, but the uniquely designed ?Designer? albums are becoming an unbeatable way to archive your wedding day.
Do you design your own wedding albums or do you contract a third party?
Every album is designed in house by Marielle and the rest of our design staff, in order to insure that each page of the album captures your wedding story in a way that is uniquely yours.
