Mad Art Gallery is housed in the former Third District Police Station, a wonderfully renovated example of 1930’s Art Deco architecture in the historic Soulard neighborhood. The gallery is award winning, and without a doubt, St. Louis' most spectacular venue for art exhibitions and unique events.  Mad Art boasts 19,000 square feet of terrazzo floors and marble hallways. The former squad car garage is now a stunning 3,800 square foot gallery space equipped with state of the art lighting. Everything that made it a working police station is still here for visitors to experience along with contemporary art exhibitions. The bronze sergeant's desk often serves as the bar for our events, and the jail cells are not only conversation pieces, but conversation places.

Mad Art offers in-house catering as well as a list of exceptional preferred caterers. Our Head Chef, Ron Buechele, is extremely creative and loves to put together one of a kind, personalized menus for our clients. You will be treated like a guest at your own party and may rely on our guarantee of exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, stylish presentation and a commitment to quality.

IN-HOUSE BEVERAGE SERVICES

Mad Art provides full bar services for events in our facility.  Our highly trained individuals are dedicated to not only meet Mad Art’s high standards, but also ensure your satisfaction. 

OUTSTANDING AMENITIES

Clients enjoy the benefits of various in-house conveniences at Mad Art.  Many are included as part in your rental package and some are optional add-ons, allowing flexibility in planning your event.  

Some of these amenities include:

ªTables & Chairs

All clients may use our tables and chairs, including 60” rounds (seating 8-10 guests), bistro tables (seating 4 guests), and cocktail tables (standing).  Our chairs are standard wooden folding chairs.

ªOutdoor Courtyard

Clients are allowed access to our beautiful courtyard (weather permitting).  Enjoy our many lovely container plants in the Spring and Summer.  Guests inside the main gallery can view the courtyard through our magnificent glass garage door.

ªFireplace

Our outdoor fireplace provides lovely ambience for evening events and is included in the deluxe rental package.  It is offered as an optional add-on in our general package.
