We are now booking 2010!!! WOW! Time is moving fast!! Hiring your officiant should be the first item on your "To Do" list!!! Your wedding ceremony and the words of your vows that you exchange with each other are just as important, if not more important , than the cake, the music, the dress, or any of the other items on your list. Take the time to select the right officiant for you. Make sure that your officiant is able to accomodate your own style and wishes and create the ceremony ritual that you desire, whether that would be religious or non, traditional or contemporary, ethnic or themed. Take the time to meet with your officiant, ask them about their education and professional experience, and determine if they are going to be a perfect fit for you. FInd out if your officiant is able to provide the marriage preparation course for you if you are from Florida, or a name change kit as part of their fees. Better yet, just give me a call and let's talk about ideas and rituals that will make your ceremony very memorable for you and your guests.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Rev. Virginia Bishop, and I can tell you that she is such a caring individual. She is aware of all the modern etiquette involved in planning a wedding and can truly be a quide to young couples making this big step. She is also very intuitive and just seems to know what people need. If you are looking for an officiant, please consider Rev. Ginny!
We had the distinct pleasure of working with Virginia of Loving Unity and found her to be a compassionate and caring officiant! She is professional, honest and pleasant. Kudos to her!
Dear Virginia,
It was a pleasure working with you on Saturday at the DonCeSar. I have to congratulate you on the message the Grandfather of the Bride gave to their Video- "The vows I heard said by the officiant, are the truth, please remember them for ever. They are the best I have heard yet.
What a compliment!

A Loving Unity Officiant definitely lives up to their name. With true meaning and sincerity, they bring their ceremonies together with much grace, warmth, and love.
Working with Reverend Virginia Bishop is a real treat. She brings a very loving, organized,
light hearted and extremely fun approach to everything she does. Whether it’s planning a business
networking event for fellow wedding professionals, or guiding a newly engaged couple through the many questions they will have regarding their wedding, Ginny as all of her close friends call her, is an absolute joy. As a wedding officiant she is dedicated to getting to know her couples so she can truly personalize their ceremony, making it unique and memorable for all attending. As a fellow wedding vendor, one would have to believe she knows everyone and that she’ll do anything to help her friends succeed. Need more proof? Visit her web site and check out her blog. This lady can BLOG and she’s here to help you! I am proud to know and recommend “A Loving Unity Officiant” (Rev. Ginny).
Awesome, awesome, awesome. Caring, professional and here's something you don't see much in todays market, THEY LISTEN TO YOU! That's right, they care about your day, not just for the $$, but they want your Wedding to be special and memorable.
I love working with Jinny from Loving Unity! She is as excited about the wedding day as the brides she works with. Jinny is so creative, and has created some of the most unique and personal ceremonies I have had the pleasure of witnessing.
I recommend her often, and when I see that I am working with Loving Unity I am excited, because the couple we are working with will have the perfect wedding ceremony for them. She is detail oriented, and always well prepared. She always has a ready smile and a sense of fun about her that is infectious. Jinny treats your vows seriously and helps you craft the words and the moments that speak specifically to you and your love for one another.
If it were my wedding, there's no question it would be Jinny Bishop from Loving Unity planning and conducting my ceremony!
Sincerely, Michael J. Mahoney

Additional Questions and Answers
What is the difference between a Notary and a Professional Officiant???
This is a GREAT question! Although Notaries are authorized to perform wedding ceremonies in Florida and New England, there is a difference. An ordained officiant, mostly of the time is a FULL TIME person who perfoms this service as their career. In addition, if they are an ordained minister, they are able to provide you with pre-marital counseling and work with you on the religious aspects of any denomination to customize your ceremony.
Is there a way to involve children in the ceremony?
Absolutely, in fact, I encourage it. There are many rituals, family sand blending, giving of token gifts, expressing vows to the children, having a family unity candle, or asking the children to participate in readings! I love when they read exerpts from The Velveteen Rabbit when they explain, How Will I Know When Love Is Real????
How do I honor deceased relatives or friends in the ceremony?
The are some very creative elements to remember a deceased family or friend. You can light a memorial candle in memory of the person, or place flowers on the chair, or have a photo of the person on a table near the lit candle. Recently, a creative bride had a locket with photos attached to her bridal bouquet. Also, couples may make mention in their wedding program.
What should I do if the venue has a "package" that includes an officiant??
This is happening more and more often. As I advise couples, it is still very critical for you to meet your officiant and let them know about your wishes and style to make sure they can accomodate any religious or non religious rituals that you may wish to have incorporated. The key here is communication. Get in touch with the officiant, schedule a time to meet to get to know one another and make sure they are the person that you would like to officiate the most important day of your life.
Tips and Advice
Here is my tip and advice for all couples...........PLEASE hire a professional wedding planner! Most couples tell me that they have a friend or relative who will handle the details of their weddings. I know personally from working side by side with professional wedding planners that the amount of details that they must attend to are enormous! A wedding planner can handle ALL of the details of your wedding, or if you prefer, you can hire a "day of" professional planner. Just make sure you give it some very serious consideration. I'd love to talk with you personally more about this, and refer professionals to you. Just give me a call or drop me an eamil
