What is your band's usual attire?
We really dont have a 'usual'. We have worn everything from Tuxedos, or black suits to Hawaiian Shirts for beach weddings. We'll wear whatever it takes to make your wedding reception FUN.
 
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
We offer many opportunities for you to come see our band perform live. Contact us for more information
 
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?
Absolutely!
 
How much time do you usually need for setup?
1 1/2 to 2 hours
 
How much space do you usually require?

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We do, but there are certain logistic requirements that must fall into place for anything out of the norm. Especially power requirements. If we have the space, the power and all safety requirements are met we can provide just about anything you need!
 
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
Yes. We also help you plan the timeline and events for entire reception months ahead of time!!
 
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Yes. We typically work 10-12 hours the day of your wedding and we do require meals for the band members.
 
Do you play recorded music during your break?
YES!!
 
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Yes, but only for 75 miles or more. For weddings within 75 miles we charge a flat rate. We do not and will not nickle and dime you.

NO!!! AS A MATTER OF FACT, if we are playing your wedding reception we will give you an OUTSTANDING price to do your ceremony or cocktail hour because we are already there! (If you are hiring our ceremony or cocktail hour musicians separately from the dance band travel charges will be added if you are more than 75 miles from center city Philadelphia)

What makes you different than the other bands on this page? Seriously, why should I hire you?
Maybe you shouldn’t hire us!
There are a lot of good bands in the Tri-Sate area and on this web page. All of them can say "we are the perfect band for your wedding" the reality is ----they aren’t all perfect for YOUR wedding.  Including Love Jones.

We aren’t a typical stuffy wedding band with rehearsed dance steps or rehearsed smiles.
We are a fun dance party band with great stage chemistry. We are all friends and band mates. We have fun on stage!
We aren’t owned by an agency or agent. Because of this we can charge THOUSANDS of dollars less than bands that are!!
We are 100% independant. When you hire us, you work with our band leader from the first day your request a bid until your reception is over. We help you plan your reception and we are there running it and playing in the band the day of.

If you are looking for a traditional wedding band, look elsewhere.. There are plenty of very good ones around. Love Jones is probably not the right choice for you.  If you’re looking for a FUN Dance Party band that gets involved with you guests and really does care about your wedding, then we are worth considering.
