I feel truly honored to be trusted with every wedding I am asked to photograph. It is my goal that your photographs should reflect the essence of who you are. I strive to capture the spirit and individuality of each person who steps in front of my camera lens. Working with my assistant, we specialize in fun, spontaneous and creative imagery. Our goal is to remain unobtrusive yet always ready to record the action around us. Providing you with a visual history that accurately tells the story of one of the most important days of your lives.

I love photography. I truly believe that I was put on this earth to capture life, love, and happiness through my lens. I thank God everyday for this gift that He has given to me, and for guiding me to realize that I was meant to do this.

Tips and Advice
Tips for your Day

Choosing the Location: The location is so important in getting great wedding photos. Please keep in mind how everything will look in pictures, from the bride's dressing room, to the ceremony, to the reception. Choose locations with plenty of shade and lots of interesting niches & "secret spots" for photos

Lighting: Try to be mindful of lighting when choosing your locations. For example, where the bride is getting ready. Lots of natural lighting such as window light, will achieve great results. Talk to your DJ beforehand about lighting during the reception. Spotlights hitting your guests and the walls and everything around will make it very hard for me to shoot using available light and will force me to use direct flash which isn't very flattering for the subjects and tends to make the background disappear.

Ceremony & Reception: The best lighting, in my opinion, is morning light and cloudy days. Try to avoid scheduling the ceremony and reception around sunset. A lot of brides get the impression that sunset photos are beautiful. First of all, they tend to be too traditional for me so I try to stay away from that, but more importantly, the lighting is very difficult to work with.

Times: If you saw my gallery and liked my work, please know that you can only achieve that with your own wedding if you allow enough time for photography during the day. 20 minutes after the ceremony before the reception for family and bridal party photos, and creative bride & groom portraits just will not cut it. If you want knock-out photos, then you need to knock out at least 45 minutes of the wedding day for creative portraits of you and your new spouse. This day is all about you, and your guests can wait. Keep them happy with hors d'ouevres for an hour while they wait for you and their dinner.

Feed the Photographer: It is usually good to feed your photographer & their posse. In my case that would be me and my assistant the entire day. You may not feed other wedding vendors that are only there for a short time, but I won't survive a 8-10 hour day without some calories. I don't usually shoot constantly during dinner, but I do have the camera close at hand in case anything interesting happens. It is usually good to seat me close to your table in order to be readily available if anything happens.

Videographers: Videographers and photographers sometimes tend to not get along. So far I have been able to get along with most videographers. Some inexperienced videographers will occasionally get right up in the middle of the altar area during the ceremony. If you don't want their backside to show up in all your pictures, please tell them to stay at least 15 feet away during the ceremony. I've also seen videographers that would watch to see what I was shooting. If they liked it, they would step in front of me to get their own shot. Make sure to tell them to watch for where the wedding photographers are so we don't get in each other's way. It's probably also best to specify very clearly as to which one of us has the highest priority for you. And if you don't want to worry about this at all, ask me to recommend a videographer that I have worked well with in the past.

Whether you choose to hire us or not I still want you to have amazing wedding photos that you will cherish forever. Therefore I wanted to share a list of tips and things to keep in mind when planning your wedding and going about your wedding day to help insure you have your wedding memories captured.

Remember that these are just suggestions and that first and foremost the most important thing is that you have the wedding day you want to have.

~ When planning the order for the day consult me before finalizing the time of the ceremony. Depending on the location and time of day 15 minutes can make the difference allowing your wedding photos to go from just good to absolutely stunning. Also the last thing you want to do is to be at a beautiful location and step outside for photo’s only to find that the sun has already set.

~ You stand at the alter for 10-20 minutes...when its time to put on the ring, the kiss, take your time, don't rush through, enjoy the moments. This will also give plenty of opportunity for great unposed photos!

~ For the best/easiest flowing portraits with the bridal party and family, I highly recommend, planning who you'd like these portraits of, making sure the individuals know where to be, and providing me with a list (with names and groupings). This is always a chaotic process, but this allows myself and Bradley to give direction to your family/bridal party/guests, and to focus on getting the photograph perfect. This way we can also get you to your party as quick as possible.

~ Have fun!!! You've planned this wedding for what feels like forever but... it is one very short day- so enjoy it & make sure the photographer is someone you'll enjoy being with because they'll be around you more than any other vendor.
