What types, such as unedited footage or special effects, of videography do you offer?
We offer unedited footage, complete wedding films, love stories, one or multiple camera shoots, special effects with software such as Adobe After Effects, Apple Shake, Apple Motion, Tiffen, and more.

Describe any special editing services you offer:
We offer Photo Montages that can play during your wedding reception or dinner, films that can be viewed on iphones, ipods, or any other mobile device, movie trailers of your day, so you get an idea of what you'll be getting, and so much more!

Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?
We are a firm believer in properly lit rooms, however, lights take away from the general ambience of a wedding. We do have lights and follow green technology practices with what lights we've purchased.

How many videographers do you work with?
We have two videographers.

Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?
The bride can meet our videographers as many times as she'd like, at no cost. We work for her and want her to feel as comfortable as possible for her big day.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
We guarantee that I (the owner and main videographer and editor) will be there at your event!

Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We only do one wedding a day, to ensure that you don't worry about anyone not showing up, getting the "back up" crew, or anything else like that. Your day is our day

Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the event day?
We do, but that has never happened.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

Do you bring backup equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
That is why we have the extra camera, microsphones, and grip kit.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We only take a break to eat during the dinner.

Do you charge overtime?
When our time that was booked is over, we will tell the bride and groom that we our finished. If they would like us to stay, we politely inform them that we can (we only do one wedding a day), and charge by the hour.

Do you give access to your raw footage?
We shoot in uncompressed HD on P2 cards but will gladly burn the raw footage onto a DVD.

Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for promotions, contents, etc.?
We reserve the right to use the video in any and all future marketing, contests, and promotions.

Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?
We do not have the bride involved in the edit. We are the professionals and have found that having people in on the edit takes three times as much time as it would with just the editor (me) cutting it. It can be arranged however, if it needs to happen.

How long does it take for the client to get the final video?
Typical turn around time is 12 weeks, but can get shorter or longer depending upon when your wedding was. March brides get edited before July brides, etc. etc.

Lights in the Attic has practiced green technology long before it became well-known. We were one of the first videographers in Oregon to go totally tapeless (not using videotape, which is hard to recycle and fills up landfills) with Panasonic's P2 technology. We have never handed out DVD's for our demo reel, rather having potential clients check our services online via vimeo.com and our website. Our studio is recycle friendly with boxes for compost, paper, glass, plastic's, and paint, among other items. We use LED technology for our lighting systems, use rechargeable batteries for our cameras and microphones. Our editing station LED cinema displays uses 30% less power compared to conventional CCFL-backlit displays. Our studio is run entirely by Apple computers. Apple products are compliant with the European Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment, also known as the RoHS directive. Examples of materials restricted by RoHS include lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and PBB and PBDE flame retardants. As a result of our proactive approach to hazardous substances, Apple met many of the RoHS requirements long before the July 2006 deadline. Also, our laptop has highly recyclable aluminum and glass enclosures, mercury-free displays and arsenic-free display glass. Printed circuit boards, electrical components, mechanical parts, and internal cables are BFR-free and PVC-free. In addition, our studio uses the Green source option from PGE, which 100% of our electricity is offset with renewable energy.
