any special techniques you offer:
We shoot only in RAW format. Shooting RAW is like shooting film. It gives us the latitude to "develop" images as we would with film. Our digital darkroom includes the most up-to-date software and techniques to ensure quality, artistic creativity and beautiful final products. |
Which lighting
situations do you have experience with?
We are experienced in rain, snow, overcast, full sun, shade, indoor, outdoor, dark night, candlelight. |
Do you have a
media preference?
Digital - we made the switch from film to digital in 2006 after extensive research and education. |
How many
photographers do you work with?
All weddings by Lifework Images are photographed by both LaRae and Cory Lobdell. |
Do you
guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, both LaRae and Cory Lobdell are present at the wedding event. |
Do you
sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day?
We only book one wedding per day. |
Do you have a
replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on
the wedding day?
Yes we have a replacement photographer that we have worked with in the past. In the event that LaRae or Cory Lobdell is injured, too ill to photograph, or, in an emergency becomes unavailable, every reasonable effort will be made to secure a suitable replacement photographer. In the situation that a suitable replacement photographer not be available, any payments to LaRae and Cory Lobdell / Lifework Images will be refunded. |
What kind of
equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Nikon Professional Digital SLR cameras (multiple), 10 Nikon/Nikkor Professional lenses (fixed and zoom), on-camera strobes, tri-pod, mono-pod, photography checklist and timeline, bride "emergency" kit (safety pins, scissors, toiletries, makeup, pocket mirror, etc.). |
Do you bring
back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
We bring an entire back up set of equipment to every wedding. |
Do you charge
hourly or full day?
Our initial investment package includes 6 hours by two photographers. Additional hours are available as add-on before or during your wedding. |
If hourly, are
you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you
charge for overtime?
We are availble to shoot overtime for $400 per hour - this includes coverage by both photographers. The additional hourly photography is available in 1/2 hour increments. |
Do you require
a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party
provide your meal?
Meals are to be provided for LaRae and Cory Lobdell at the reception. We take a quick break to eat at the same time as the bride and groom. During this time one of us is always available to jump up and capture any special moments. |
How many breaks
do you usually take throughout the day?
For a 6-8 hour wedding we usually take only one meal break and may take a quick moment to rehydrate and refresh. |
Do you charge
for travel?
All you are required to provide is travel, accommodations and transportation for LaRae and Cory (two photographers) for two (2) nights in the continental USA or three (3) nights outside the continental USA. A per diem of $150 USD per day is also required (this is to cover our food, travel insurance for ourselves and equipment, and any unforeseen extras). |
How soon after
the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Web proofing will be ready four to six months from your wedding date. |
In what format
are the initial proofs offered?
Inital web proofing is through Pictage, the premier online showcase.
We also offer Hardcover Proof Books - all the images from your engagement session and wedding look great in our 10”x8” hardcover proof book with custom dust jacket and reference numbers for easy ordering. |
How long can
the couple keep the proofs?
Web viewing and ordering service is provided through Pictage for one year of release date. We offer Hardcover Proof Books (All images printed on premium paper with reference numbers in a hardcover proof book) are available for purchase and yours to keep forever. |
Do you retain
the copyright for the photos?
Yes, LaRae and Cory Lobdell / Lifework Images, retains full copyright over all the images. With the delivery of the High-Resolution files, a "Usage License Agreement" is provided giving "Rights granted for duplication of images for print enlargements and albums for personal use for your lifetime."

Do you reserve
the right to publish the photos?
LaRae and Cory Lobdell / Lifework Images retains the right to use these photographs for displays, samples, brochures, competitions or publication for the purpose of retaining other clients. |
Do you provide
the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the
negatives) to the couple?
High resolution files are conveniently available for you to download directly through Pictage. |
Will images be
available for viewing on an online gallery?
Share your wedding images with family and friends through our premier online showcase, Pictage. |
What kind of
albums do you offer?
Classic Renaissance Albums, WillowBook Flush Mount Albums, Lifework Images Signature Coffee Table Books, and Hard Cover Proof Books. |
When will I get
the final book?
The proof book and web service will be ready four to six months from your wedding date (web service remains up for one year of the release date). At this same time we release an album design for your approval. Once we receive your approval on the design, the final album takes an additional four to six months to deliver to you. |
