Im Margaret and Im from the Bay Area. Im a Event Planner and I have started a new business, Lexus Events. Our motto at Lexus Events is "we design events for your lifetime".

The road to becoming a event planner started innocently enough...I was the one who always set up birthdays, luncheons, etc. My being organized and detailed help out a lot. But I guess that is to be expected when your work history included being a Secretary and Administrative Assistant.

So the search began into finding a new career.

So I took the wedding consultant program with American Acadamy of Wedding Professionals which I will complete in October 2007 and I am working on getting my professional certificate in Event Planning from San Francisco State University and that will be completed in 2008.

We can also assist you in the planning of your Destination Wedding.  Margaret has worked as a travel agent for the past four years and all bookings will be handled through Lets Get Away Travel, the travel agency division of Lexus Events.

From the rehearsal to the end of your reception, Lexus Events will ensure that all of your plans are executed perfectly.  As your “day of ceremony” coordinator, we are the calming force, the troubleshooter and the director.

What should I look for in a bridal consultant?

Most importantly, look for a bridal consultant you are comfortable with and that will listen.  Paying attention to your needs is key to your success.  Also having a consultant who is creative and resourceful, will help bring your dreams to reality.  They should be willing to do the research to find you the most unique items to make your day special.  Also ask about their training and any additional education that they may have.
