Do you offer private tastings or open house tastings?
LeGigis Bakery offers private tastings. Cake flavors are your choice, we make it fresh! Note: Please limit choices to 2 cake flavors, and 4 fillings. A tasting is for the purpose of sampling the quality, not every flavor we offer. To create all flavors means to freeze cakes....Not a good idea!
What are your tasting hours?
Tastings are normally scheduled on Mondays through Wednesdays, between 9pm and 7pm.
Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
Cakes are priced by the slice. Buttercream cakes start at $4.00/serving. Fondant covered cakes (porcelain-smooth finish) start at $5.50/serving. *** Note: there is a minimum order requirement of $150.00 on all custom cakes. 50% deposit due upon booking your order to secure that date of your event. Cupcakes start at $2.00 each, and are sold per dozen. Prices increase depending on design. Cookie Bouquets are sold per 6 cookies to a bouquet and can be shipped any where in the U.S. and Internationally. Basic cookies start at $3.00 each. Price increase to $6.00 for more intricacy design.
Does the price include the top tier of the cake?
Yes! Top-Tier is your Free anniversary cake and it is 6". You can view the directions on how to freeze the cake via website.
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
Here at LeGigis Bakery our designer is a certified Confectionary Artist we can make anything happen for your special day. We specialize in gum paste figures to replicate you or any design you have in mind. Airbrushed portraits, Victorian piping, etc...Or duplicate a design you have in mind / photo.
What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?
Everything is freashly baked in the early hours of the morning same day of event and handmade from scratch and it's an old secret ingredient from grandma's kitchen.....Healthy too!
On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
We guarantee all cakes are baked fresh same day of event at 3-4 a.m. If cake needs special flowers, gum paste figures,etc....then of course it is done a few days before. No more than 4 days before to create all flowers or figures. Freshness is our #1 rule.
How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
Creating cake is a work of ART. Our MASTERPEICE! so we do not take anymore than 4 a weekend to ensure quality not quantity.
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
You can coordinate with your florist to leave the flowers you have chosen for your cake, or we can work with the florist for you. Be aware that some flowers are toxic and can not be used on a cake. Flower placement is included in your delivery and set-up. Company policy and health and safety reasons, designer must put flower arrangement's on the cake.
What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?
Cake stands, cake plates, flower spikes, decorative cake separators and columns are all available for rent. A minimum $75.00 deposit is required for cake display equipment. Deposit amounts may increase, based on replacement cost. Your deposit is refunded, minus a $25.00 rental charge, upon timely return of items. Items are due the Wednesday following the event. If returning items late add on $5.00 a day.
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
Delivery cost is based on distance. $30.00/25 miles is the guide. Our delivery charge includes cake set-up, flower placement, and table decoration.
