Myself - I only take small events so that I can devote my personal touch to each wedding.
 
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
I am the principal photographer at every event booked.
 
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No, I will not double book any weddings
 
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
No, I will notify you well in advance of the wedding should an issue arise, refund your deposit and help you locate an alternate photographer.
 
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Nikon DSLR, Nikon Flash, chargers, batteries, extra digital SD cards, creative items to take photos of rings, items to touch up the bride and groom.
 
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, and I check and double check all items in advance and the day of the event.
 
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I charge for the event.
 
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
I am available to shoot overtime upon request during the event.
 
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I do not take breaks unless it is absolutely necessary.
 
Do you charge for travel?
I charge a small fee if I must travel past 30 miles. If I am traveling to another state I charge a travel fee based on the airline ticket cost.
 
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
I strive to provide proofs for viewing within 2 weeks of the event. Typically I will begin posting them as soon as they are edited.
 
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
They are posted to my website for viewing.
 
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The proofs and/or the digital images are provided on CD to the bride and groom with a release letter for reprinting.
 
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, if I have not released the rights to the bride and groom.
 
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, I will use your photos for advertising purposes only.
 
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, you will receive 2 CDs copies and I also digitally archive the photos. Future copies of CDs are provided at a charge of $50 each.
 
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes
 
What kind of albums do you offer?
Albums similar to those on snapfish.com (hard bound) with digital images printed on each page.
 
When will the client get the final album?
If ordered as a part of the photography package, the photo book will be created for you after all editing is finished and will be proofed and approved by you for print. It can take up to 6 weeks to complete this service.
