Frequently Asked Questions for DJ
Describe your DJ style:
This depends on what my client is looking for, it's not about what I do, it's about what they want!

What is your usual attire?
Formal tuxedo at all events unless directed otherwise by the client.

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
The only time we would ask that of you is after we have exhausted all efforts in locating the song.

How many other DJs do you work with?
We have one host per event.

What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
5 hours

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Most definitely! We want YOU to know who will be at your event before you sign anything. We will never book an event and then scheedule a host.

Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
No, we do not.

Do you bring your own equipment?
100%. If your DJ does not bring their own equipment, how can the fix it if there is a problem????

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We do have limited dancefloor lighting.

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
You are not responsible for our set-up or break-down time. Once we know the start time of the event, we arrange to be set-up before your first guest arrives. Most facilities provide a skirted table for us without asking.

Do you have any extra space requirements?
No.

Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
We do emcee but we don't talk between every song.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No.

Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
Since we don't take breaks, the fun doesn't stop!

What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, we do. There are 3 entertainment specialist at Keith Alan Productions. Keith is also a member of the Connecticut Professional Disc Jockey Assoc. where back-up is available if needed.

What is your overtime rate?
This is determined by the availability of the entertainer, time of day and location of the event.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
We do charge for travel and it depends on the location of the event.
