Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
My techniques start with my relationship with my clients. In order to show the connection between the two of them I like to get to know that first. Also my technique shows in in the post production of the imagery. I use different levels of saturation, depths of field and textures with my imagery.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
As a location wedding photographer I have experience with all lighting conditions.

Is your media preference film or digital?
Digital is my preference, as I can offer my clients a more solid product with it.

How many photographers do you work with?
I shoot all my lifestyle sessions and most of my weddings by myself. I do have a second shooter available upon request, and for some larger events.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
I will always be the Main shooter at all events.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I only shoot one wedding per weekend, so that I have all my energy to focus on you.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
I have a group of associate photographers that can be called on to help in an emergency, depending on their availability, of course.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I bring a primary system with various lenses, various flash lighting and a back up body.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
yes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
My packages are time inclusive. The important thing is that we get you what you want in how ever long it takes to get that. Coverage all ends at 10pm or when the first dance is done. Additional time can be arranged.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
In some cases there is a need for extra time outside what my packages cover, and I am available for extra time at a cost of $50 per half hour.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I am dedicated to you for the entire day that I am booked to be with you. I break when you break, which means very little on a wedding day.

Do you charge for travel?
I charge a travel fee outside of Edmonton.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
After your event, I will have the proofs ready for you to view in between 6-10 weeks. Times vary depending on the time of year, but will never take more then 10 weeks. But I always have a couple teasers up on the blog in within the first week or so!

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
The initial proofs are in the form of a coffee table book with pages that have thumbnails on them, and an online gallery for a minimum of one month after your proofs are ready.

How long can the client keep the proofs?
The proof book is yours to keep and the online gallery is up for a minimum of 1 month. Additional time can be purchased.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I retain copyright of all images. A high res DVD can be purchased with all your images in Color and Black and White, and you receive the right to print those images.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
I reserve the right to publish all the photos. I understand the sensitive subject matter of boudoir images so I request approval from the client in these cases.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
High res files are available for purchase.

Will images be available for viewing online?
All weddings and lifestyle sessions are uploaded onto a password protected online gallery for a minimum of one month after the shoot.

What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer many exciting albums that range from folios and coffee table books to flush digital layout albums to custom matted products. Book a consultation to view all my products.

When will the client get the final album?
Once you order your Album, I will work on a layout, and within weeks I will have you proof the layout, and then it will take anywhere from 6-12 weeks to get your album printed. Times vary with different albums.

Tips and Advice
Finding the right photographer to document your day can be one of the most important decisions that you will make in planning your wedding.

I believe that when searching for your photographer, your goal should not be just to check a box off of your list of vendors to find. Your goal should be to invest in an artist and ultimately in your memories of your day.

My goal is to show you my personality, my style, my professionalism and samples of finished products so that you can decide if I am the right photographer for your wedding.

I would love to invite you and yours to view more of my artwork and learn how I will capture the excitement and beauty of one of the most important days in your life.

I hope to hear from you soon.
