At Karen Hill Photography, we love what we do and we love photography. We are Karen Hill and Frank Marshal, a husband and wife team based in New York city. We are a boutique Lifestyle and Wedding Photography studio established in 1993. In 2008, Frank and I officially merged our lives and business. We strive to give you the best service and the best photographs possible. We love photography and we also love the history of photography and shooting with film. Film is an artistic tool that captures emotionally powerful images. We also love art, interior design, fashion, things that are old, we love to travel, movies, old and new, and we love the excitement of capturing your wedding day. We have a few industry awards, a bunch of publications, and I even have an MFA in Photography from the Yale School of Art.

Our style of coverage is a natural, organic approach, allowing everyone to be themselves, (only better!). It’s an eloquent style of coverage that allows the day to describe itself as we create the wedding day story. What excites us photographically, is light, composition and the perfect moment. When you turn and look at each other and the light’s hitting you just right, that’s photography magic!
