Tips and Advice
Prioritize: Decide what you must have and what you can live without. Quality is more memorable than quantity. Smaller is better: A smaller guest list allows you to splurge in a few areas that you thought weren’t possible. Invitation Mailing: Mail invitations 6 to 8 weeks in advance for a local wedding and 10 to 12 weeks prior for a destination wedding. If you are also sending save-the-dates for your destination wedding, then 6 to 8 weeks ahead is sufficient. Red Carpet Glamour: If you want to look like a star on your wedding day (and who doesn’t!), stay within your budget by renting jewels and hiring a professional stylist to give you a makeover including hair extensions for the movie star look you’ve always dreamt of! Extra Details: Ask your florist to deliver some extra blooms to your caterer to accent the serving trays during your cocktail hour. This adds a beautiful look carrying your floral theme throughout your event.
