About

I'm not sure that I could say it any better than Amanda and Mark did here:
“I know you get wonderful praises from happy brides all the time, but it is with good cause. Not only did you capture one of the most important days of our lives with captivating photos, but you also created a very special environment, where I felt the most beautiful and happy I have ever felt. You did not just document our day, you made it that much more special by being there. Thank you is not enough. I will forever remember the special treatment of the ‘dream team’”

Images by Daniel Michael is our favorite film and photojournalism studio in Southwest Ohio. Their professional staff is fun and easy to work with prior to the wedding day, during the event and after the event. Their photography is nothing short of phenominal. The service is impeccable and I like how my clients are treated like royalty throughout the entire planning process. Highly highly recommended!

Tips and Advice

Your Wedding Day Experience:
Make sure you click with your photographer on a personal level as well as photographically.  You will spend more time on your wedding day with your photographer than with your fiance!  Make sure you are confident and comfortable with them.  Your photographer should be passionate about what they do.  You will feed off that energy at your wedding and it will show through in the images they capture.

Photojournalism:
This is the most overused term in wedding photography.  Almost every photographer claims to be photojournalistic.  That does not mean all are candid or interactive or artistic or a combination of the three.  Don't let one photo sway you one way or the other.  Look at the entire body of work.  Are their photos candid or just posed looking at each other?

Packages:
1.  Don't get sucked in to the "hook" package.  Make sure you have considered all the potential add ons such as hours, locations, additional photographers, prints, editing, hi resolution printable dvd, engagement session and things like that.
2.  If you are using a digital photographer, find out how many of the images are color corrected and exposure corrected.  If you only get 100-200 photos, the other 1000 they took are a waste.
3.  If you are using a film photographer, be sure you have all the original negatives and have them scanned to a hi resolution dvd.  Film photography is already the highest quality so there is no color correction or exposure correction necessary.
4.  Take a good look at the reprint pricing.  Your reprint order could exceed $1000 very easily with some packages.
5.  The term "proofs" no longer means prints.  They can be online or digital proofs.
