The Grand Café and Hotel Monaco offer a romantic boutique hotel setting just two blocks from Union Square in the San Francisco Theatre District.

Our lartest event space, the Paris Ballroom and adjacent Paris Foyer, can accommodate up to 125 for seated ceremonies and 175 guests for seated dinner and dancing. Our lower lobby rooms are perfect larger ceremonies (up to 175 max) or for smaller receptions.

For exquisite weddings, the Grand Café main dining room, set in a turn of the century Beaux Arts ballroom, is also available on an exclusive basis. It can accommodate up to 200 guests seated or 350 for a standing reception.

The Peacock Terrace is our premiere private dining room with a magnificent balcony overlooking the Grand Cafe. This is a truly special space for rehearsal dinners, showers and post wedding brunches for up to 40 people. The Peacock Terrace was voted best private dining room in San Francisco by Forbes Magazine in 2002!

Regardless of where the event happens, the Grand Café ~ Brasserie and Bar provides all of the catering. The restaurant features Regional French cuisine with a California influence. Using only fresh seasonal ingredients from local purveyors, the brasserie menu offers a diverse array of fresh seafood and raw bar, house cured meats, and desserts that satisfy every appetite.
