We stayed at the Hotel Monaco several times while planning our wedding, and set up a hotel room block for our guests there for our wedding in Baltimore. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, in general we were always happy with the staff, and our guests loved it. The hotel is fairly new, and the prices are great for such a beautiful hotel in a good location (it is about 3 blocks to the inner harbor)! They have a great "living room" on the second floor for our guests to spend time together, and provide free coffee/tea in the morning, juices and lemonade (summer) in the afternoon, and wine in the evening. We were able to spend hours in the lobby living room to greet our guests as they arrived.
When looking for hotels for our guest block, the Monaco gave us the best discount, and Lauren Solins, who managed our hotel block, was always responsive to any questions I had, and kept on top of everything! Originally, getting the room block set up was a little difficult (before we worked with Lauren), which is why we give the 4.5, but once it was set up everything was perfect). They also provided us with a suite at a greatly discounted rate, and let us leave guest bags at the front desk.
We did not have our wedding at the hotel, but I could see it being a lovely location for a wedding. We did take pictures in the hotel, on the gorgeous, historic marble staircase and classy vintage furniture. We can't wait to spend time there in the future, we can't imagine staying anywhere else in Baltimore!
