How much does it cost to create a Honeymoon Pixie Registry?
There are no costs associated with creating your Honeymoon Pixie registry webpage and using our free services and resources. There is no obligation - if you change your mind you can simply close the gift giving function of your registry or delete your registry.
We wish the entire service could be free, but we do have a 7% service fee to process gifts that are purchased. This fee covers credit card processing fees, creating and hosting your personal registry website, security, fraud protection, and unlimited customer support for you and your guests.
We are proud to offer the lowest service fee in the industry while providing full flexibility of when and how you want your funds delivered to you. You can select a business check, bank wire transfer, international wire transfer, or PayPal.
We also provide you the freedom to choose who pays the service fee: the guests can pay the fee, or the couple can choose to pay the fee from the proceeds of their gifts. If the guests pay the fee, then the fee is added to the guest's bill at checkout. There is never tax, shipping, handling, or gift wrapping... which guests appreciate, and as a result typically don't mind paying the 7% fee. This method means that the registry service is entirely free for the couple. This is the automatic default option. The second option is where no service fee is added to the guest's total. The service fee is simply subtracted from the couple's gift total when they redeem their gift funds. You can change the service fee designation by logging in to your registry and selecting "Manage Gifts".
Other honeymoon registries will charge BOTH a service fee and a 3% credit card processing fee. Their fees range from 7.5% to 10%. We are occasionally asked about "free" honeymoon registries. This type of registry is designed for guests to give their gift check to you at your wedding. Most couples leave immediately after their wedding for their honeymoon and don’t have the time to wait until a weekday to go to the bank, cash the checks, and obtain cash. Many banks will wait several days for checks to clear. This can be very stressful for the couple and can jeopardize having their funds available. With Honeymoon Pixie, you can request your gift funds ahead of time and use it to prepay your accommodations and airfare. Another major concern is that "free" registries generate their revenue by selling registry "upgrades", advertisng on your registry, and selling your contact information to other vendors and marketing firms. Honeymoon Pixie will never sell or distribute your personal data to third party companies or marketers.

How does the service and the fee compare to a traditional wedding registry?
In almost all cases, a Honeymoon Pixie registry is more economical than a traditional gift registry. There is no expense associated with shipping, handling, tax, and gift wrapping. This can easily be 12-15% of the gift's value. And there is no need to transport the gift to the wedding.
When using Honeymoon Pixie, we send you a check or a bank transfer of your gift funds. There is no time spent or the embarrassment of exchanging unwanted gifts!
Is my personal information safe?
Your privacy is extremely important to us and we will never share or sell any of the personal information of our couples or guests. All of your personal information is stored on secure servers at our data center. We need it only to manage your registry, deliver your honeymoon registry funds, and email you gift notifications.
Is credit card information secure?
Security and the protection of sensitive information is our #1 priority. Our website uses 256-bit SSL encryption technology to ensure that the private credit card information of the gift-giver is transmitted safely and securely. The information is encrypted before it is sent and cannot be read. We never store your guests' credit card information and our support staff never has access to actual credit card information.
We use additional measures that provide security for each individual transaction and we partner with Cybersource and Bank of America. Both are online leaders in global payment processing, fraud detection and payment security.
For your protection, you will notice that during a transaction, our URL address line changes to "https". This indicates that our website is safe and secure.
Where does the money go when we receive a gift?
After a guest's credit card is charged, the money is deposited into an FDIC-insured bank account with HSBC. HSBC provides banking services to over 41 million people worldwide.
How do we know when a gift has been purchased for us?
Every time someone gives you a gift, an email detailing the gift will be automatically sent to the guest and to you. Your account will be updated with your gift activity. It is easy see the gifts you’ve received, who they are from, and the total amount available for redemption.
Do you book the activities on our honeymoon registry for us?
We are a gift registry service and not a travel agency. We provide you with complete control and flexibility to book your own travel and honeymoon activities. Gift funds that are in your registry account can be provided to you at an early date so you can prepay for some of your activities. We provide dazzling ideas for honeymoon destinations, shopping, and travel tips at Honeymoon Planning.
How and when do we receive our gift funds from our registry?
You can collect your honeymoon gift funds at any time by logging into your account and clicking on "Manage Gifts". You can collect your gift funds via:
- Check mailed directly to you sent USPS First Class Mail (free).
- Bank to bank wire transfer in the U.S. ($10 fee).
- International bank wire transfer ($30 fee).
- Your PayPal account (free; PayPal's terms may apply).
The ability to purchase gifts from your honeymoon registry will remain active for 90 days after your wedding. After 90 days, guests will no longer be able to purchase gifts and any remaining funds in your account will be sent to you. Your honeymoon registry website will remain online for two years so friends can visit and share in your story and photos. At any time, you can delete your registry and remove it from our website.
For security reasons, we can only issue gift redemptions in the name of the primary account holder. This name cannot be changed once a gift has been given. This is to protect you and prevent any fraudulent activity.
It takes 72-hours for funds from a credit card transaction to be available for gift funds redemption. This ensures that credit card activities are not fraudulent. This protects you and your guests.
As an option, checks can be sent via Overnight delivery Monday - Friday in the U.S. at a charge of $21.00.
Checks will be sent to the address you provided. We are not responsible or liable for any losses due to lost mail or untimely deliveries of regular mail.
The bank to bank wire-transfer is the safest, fastest and preferred method to receive your funds (please allow 48-72 hours).
International clients have 2 options: International wire transfer or PayPal.
What is the best way to thank a guest?
Your guests will appreciate a personal thank you card. We make this easy by tracking your gifts and your guests' contact information. After logging into your account, select "Manage Gifts". This is where you redeem your gifts. There is also a "Thank You List" button that provides an organized printable list of all your gifts and the associated guest information.
What if some of our wedding guests aren't computer friendly?

What if we don't know where we are going, can we still use the honeymoon registry to start receiving gift money?
Many couples have not selected their honeymoon destination. You can enter any destination and you can change it later to your specific destination. Many of your requested gift items for your accommodations, fun activities, gear, pampering, transportation, and wine & dine will be very similar wherever you honeymoon!
Can we change or add gifts to our registry after we've posted it?
Yes, at anytime! Simply log-in to your account and go to "Registry Gift Items". You can add, delete or edit any gift. You can easily change the gift photo, name, description, value and the number of gifts requested.
Can we use this honeymoon registry if we are not from the US?
Yes! Our gift registry service is used by couples around the world. We require that you have a mailing address in one of the following countries:
American Samoa, American Virgin Islands, Australia, Austria, Belgium, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Guam, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic Of Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.
Gift amounts and account balances are in US dollars. Gift redemptions will also be drawn on US dollars from a bank based in the United States. If the funds are being deposited into a bank outside of the US, you should ask your bank about their fees associated with cashing foreign checks (and how long it takes to clear foreign checks), accepting foreign wire transfers, and currency conversion fees. Our couples have found that an international wire transfer is often the fastest and safest way to receive their gift funds.
Why not just receive checks at the wedding?
With most weddings on a weekend, receiving gift checks the day before you depart for your honeymoon makes it almost impossible to find the time to get to a bank to deposit and cash your gift checks. Most banks will take several days to clear out-of-town checks which can jeopardize having your funds available in time. This is not the kind of stress you want to have immediately after your wedding as you prepare to leave for your honeymoon!
With our honeymoon registry, you can receive all of your gift money ahead of time. This provides you the opportunity to pre-pay certain parts of your trip (for example, your airfare and accomodations), and gives you an easy system of tracking all the gifts you receive.
What happens if my wedding or honeymoon is cancelled or postponed?
If your wedding or honeymoon is postponed, just log-in to your account and revise your wedding or honeymoon date. If your wedding is cancelled, we will provide you with a check for any outstanding balance that may be in your account. It’s up to you to return any redeemed gift money to your family and guests.
