Welcome to HMCRUZ Photography! My name is Mike Cruz, photographer, father, animal lover and all round nice guy. Since I have been a child I always been fascinated with photography. My interest was fueled by my Uncle Frank who always took the family photographs at birthdays, Christmas, Easter and any other family function. Today he is still taking photos with his digital camera and reciting his famous line of..."One More". I began taking my own photographs once I began a family but in the last few years I have turned my hobby into a life long passion capturing those once in a life time moments.

I exclusively use Canon products on my photo shoots. My approach to wedding photography is to make the day fun for the wedding couple. When possible I like to use the natural light but when that's not available I will use the flash. You can tell when a image is flashed by the shadows, which I hate by the way. I will correct the exposure in post processing when it needs to be with enhancing the image with special effects like black & white, split-color or muting the colors to give the image an unique look.
