Historic Spanish Point is a 30-acre archaeological, historical and environmental museum accredited by the American Association of Museums. It is a private, not-for-profit organization and the museum opened in 1982. One of the most sought after old Florida style chapels in the region is available for weddings, christenings, and memorials. The lavish historical garden built in 1912 by Mrs. Potter Palmer is an elegant sight for weddings and receptions. It over looks Little Sarasota Bay.
Reasonable packages are available, and the staff is helpful. Some customization is an option. Rental events can be held from 9am to sunset Monday - Saturday with some blackout dates for museum functions. Wedding couples receive a complimentary one-year family level membership to the museum and discount passes for their guests to return at another time and take a tour.
