Harbour View, a brand new waterfront event venue in Northern Virginia, can accommodate groups of up to 400, and is divided into several beautifully appointed spaces:

* The first floor open-air veranda is a fully covered space nestled right alongside the charming Occoquan River. With the flexibility to bring make the outdoors a part of your celebration— without worrying about the weather—the veranda is a perfect place for your ceremony. The veranda is also ideal for a cocktail reception, elegant lunch, or afternoon tea.

* Directly down the hall is a lovely bridal room with a private bathroom and plenty of space for you, your girls, and all of your dresses, shoes, and cosmetics. There’s even an extra room so you can spread out for a little private pre-wedding party.

* Heading back to the veranda and up the stairs to the second floor, you will enter the gallery: a wide open space with hardwood floors and a wall of windows overlooking the entrance. This is an excellent space for a pianist or small jazz trio—the high ceilings and hardwood floors give this room amazing acoustics. The gallery also makes an ideal place for your gift table, guest book, place cards, and cake. Or get creative and put a lighted punch fountain, ice sculpture, candy buffet—the sky is the limit!

* From the gallery, you can enter either one of the two main event areas: Sewell’s Point Ballroom and Hutchinson Ballroom. The elegant ballrooms are surrounded on all sides by huge windows overlooking the river and marina below. Encircling the whole building is an extra-wide balcony, so your guests can step out for some fresh air and take in the view. The neutral décor means that your wedding theme and carefully planned decorations will take center stage—though the rooms are so beautiful you’ll find they need little decoration, if simple is your style.
