Thank you for considering the spectacular Half Moon Bay Golf Links venue for your special event needs. Our two championship 18-hole golf courses are situated on more than three hundred gorgeous acres of parkland, lakes, and breath-taking ocean-side bluffs with access to a beautiful beach. At the heart of the courses is our full-service Clubhouse, which features a warm and inviting atmosphere as well as the gourmet cuisine of Mullins Bar & Grill restaurant. The dining room and adjacent terrace are accentuated by large westward facing windows that capture panoramic golf course, ocean and sunset views, as well as an inviting fireplace lounge.
 
Nationally acknowledged as one of the "18 Great Country Clubs for a Day", Half Moon Bay Golf Links offers a spectacular ocean-side venue perfect for any occasion.  Our gracious and accommodating staff will create an event filled with elegant details, warm service and outstanding cuisine. We are available to assist you in planning a wide variety of events including beautiful wedding ceremonies and fabulous receptions. For your rehearsal dinner or farewell brunch we can create more novel events such as a “drive-in movie night” with guests sitting in our convertible golf carts with customized keepsake blankets, while watching a film on a large projection screen complete with surround-sound and classic “car-hop” waiters on roller-skates offering cotton candy and buttered popcorn. We can also create a custom-mini golf course, arrange for night-time “glow-in-the-dark” golf, or set-aside one of our award-winning golf courses to be yours alone for the day, or to be shared with dear friends and family.

This is a great venue for a wedding, has just about everything. The staff are efficient and accommodating, and really do enjoy the ceremony, along with the wedding couple and their guests. The grounds are beautifully groomed, and the view of the ocean is breathtaking - a spectacular backdrop that helps to make it easy for me as the wedding photographer. When I know that a wedding is held at the golf links, I know that it will be an enjoyable experience for everyone.
What a beautiful place for a wedding! Ocean views & great food don't hurt either. Amy & her team take great care of their clients. This is one of the up & coming Bay Area venues and is also a great spot for rehearsal dinners.

I love this venue. Amy McNiel is amazing when it comes to everyones wedding needing a personal touch of excitement and elegance. The venue with the great course for the men and a spa next store. Imagine hearing the surf in the background, floral design on the green and a stone bridge to entire in class ast you get out of your Rolls Royce or Limo onto the green. Cha! We love making film on the private cove around the corner to on the beach and on the cliffs. Half Moon Bays hidden secret is awaiting you!

How does your venue determine the cost of the space?
The cost for events at HMBGL are simply a sum of the parts: site fee + food & beverage per person + service charge (18%) + sales tax on F&B (9.25%). Site fees are fairly priced (plus offer so many wonderful extra features to save you time and money) and a reasonable food & beverage minimum (depends upon the day of the week, season, and room(s) reserved). Do you offer any special services?
We offer too many unique and wonderfully helpful special services to list here! But here's a snapshot: we take all brides and grooms via golf cart to the most amazingly scenic private ocean bluffs and nearby golden-sand beach for bridal portraits -a fabulous privelege only afforded to HMBGL brides....All of our receptions include the use of upgraded chiavari chairs...we're happy to create custom menus incorporating unique ethnic foods or menus near and dear to your heart...valet parking for you and your guests is always complimentary...
 
Do you offer additional items for the ceremony?
Ceremonies including use of deluxe white wooden folding chairs with padded seats, a classic white arch backdrop, and more. Please refer to the wedding brochure for full details.
 
Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware?
Our receptions include use of our classic tableware (plates, flatware, glassware), house linens, and elegant chiavari chairs. We also have a dance floor available and can offer our "insider" discount for upgraded linens and such, too.
 
Do you require clients to use a specific list of vendors?
Brides can use any vendors they wish for photography, videography, cakes, entertainment, and more. We provide the food & beverages, though we may be able to partner with outside food vendors for something special (kosher meals, interactive sushi stations, and more). Please inquire for more information.
 
Do you require the client to use your musicians? If you do not require this, is that an additional fee to bring in one's own musicians?
Brides and grooms are welcome to hire their favorite musicians, DJs, or other entertainment professions.
 
Do you have any special side rooms that can be rented out for the occasion?
We offer four ceremony sites and six reception venues to choose from (or just about any combination thereof). Most clients choose the gorgeous Ocean View Practice Green for their ceremony, followed by the Ocean View Terrace + 1st Tee Putting Green for their cocktail hour (imagine your guests enjoying wonderful and drinks & playing a little mini golf as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean), followed by a gourmet meal in our Main Dining Room (more ocean views!), and then dancing the night away in either the Main Dining Room or in the adjacent bar, which affords a private dance club-like experience where you can crank up the music and turn the lights down without overwhelming the event guests who wish to sit back and watch the dancing while still chatting with other guests.
 
Can the client provide their own alcohol if desired?
Guests may pre-arrange to bring in their own wine in exchange for a corkage fee but they may not bring in any other alcoholic beverages or vendors.
 
How many power outlets does the venue have?
Our venue was remodeled in 2008 and offers state-of-the-art technical support including plenty of electrical outlets, WiFi, use of flat screen TVs throughout the facility and more.
 
What restrictions (if any) on photography?
There are no restrictons on photography within the clubhouse. Clients and their photographer must have a HMBGL employee with them at all times while on the golf course for safety and security purposes.

No event permits are required for standard wedding ceremonies and receptions on our property, but don't forget to get your marriage license!

HMBGL is proud to offer exclusive wedding services to just one client at a time. We don't book multiple events for the same day.
 
Can you provide a coat check?
Yes, we can provide attended or unattended coat check services for a nominal additional fee.

Very attractive, newly renovated restroom and lounge facilities for both ladies and gentlemen.

Hot tip: when working with any vendor or venue, be sure to ask, "if I were to pay for the entire contract today, what would be the total amount due?"  Too often, a vendor's initial estimate looks great until additional fees and charges are added in the total.  And be cautious of "free" products or services: such things have to be paid for one way or another (built into another cost?).  One bride told us another venue offered her free coffee & tea service, but their service charge was much higher than ours and the difference equaled a very expensive cup of "free" coffee! Our pricing structure is simple, concise, and straighforward with no hidden fees.  Please contact Amy directly at marketingdirector@hmbgolflinks.com for your complimentary estimate.
