We wear formal attire to ceremonies, unless there is a request for a different theme attire.
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
You can hear some selected sample music on our website, but if there is a convenient event we are playing already, it is possible that you may drop in.
How much time do you usually need for setup?
Only 1/2 hour is necessary, as we have a simple set-up, but depending on the simplicity or complexity of the wedding, we are prepared to do what it takes.
How much space do you usually require?
Enough room for a duo can be a small space indeed, with the piano being the largest element. We provide our own small sound system, when needed.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
No additional charge. We negotiate the estimated expenses in our pricing.

How do you choose the music to be played?
We enjoy talking with the bride & groom, in order to get a clear picture of your visions and ideas, get a feel for your style choice and mood. Then we offer suggestions, from our experience and repertoire, that would be appropriate and in sync with your vision. As professional musicians, we can easily learn & present any requested favorite song. We are easy to work with, and our desire is to please our clients and their guests with beautiful, elegant, and moving music for their special ceremony.
What if there is no grand piano available?
Although there is nothing quite like the majesty of a grand piano, Grand Times has an electronic grand that we will provide for your event. This is especially good for outdoor ceremonies or receptions, where it is not possible to have an acoustic grand. But if you prefer the rich tones and majestic elegance of a true grand piano, one can easily be rented and brought in, just for the occasion.
Do you use a sound system?
For a wedding ceremony, we may play entirely acoustically, as a sanctuary or chapel will have a lovely acoustic and piano. In some cases, the larger contemporary church sound system will provide a better sound. But if needed, we do provide our own sound reinforcement system, which is especially appropriate for receptions or after ceremony dinner music before dancing.

"Grand Times" versatility provides you with wonderful choices of ceremonial wedding music, and also is the perfect choice for the elegance and mood that only live music can deliver, with numerous love songs, popular favorites, swing jazz & Broadway hits for your reception, or live background music for your formal dinner. We can even rev it up, with the addition of a bassist and drummer, or you may prefer to start the dancing thereafter with popular songs from your favorite DJ, or master mixer, to round out the evening!
