Venezuelan designer and photographer, Mariana Martinis, credits her parents —both prominent architects—as being the key influencers in her profession. They taught her to love and appreciate shapes, colors, light, and most importantly, the essence of life. The years she spent surrounded by the arts encouraged her to take her first lessons in design and photography. What started as a hobby soon grew to be a passion when she discovered new techniques during her undergraduate studies. The knowledge acquired while studying to be a graphic designer opened Mariana up to new possibilities in photography.
Photography has always been at Mariana’s side. When working on design projects, Mariana took her own static photos to compliment her creations. Her passion for the arts expanded when she arrived in the United States. She began working for a video production company where she was in the field shooting social mixers and events. She acquired experience in capturing moments as they happen in real time.
More than Eight years have passed since Mariana first began working as a photographer and videographer. Each passing year contributed to Mariana's growing experience, leading her to branch out and expand her range and forms of artistic expression.
Accompanied by her demonstrated charisma, creativity and originality, Mariana has captured countless memories. This has given her the opportunity to cover a wide spectrum of life moments. She has been given the opportunity to shoot exclusive events such as the opening of Yoko Ono’s gallery in New York, and a diverse range of individuals, such as Habibi - professional boxer and model for Ecko Clothing, Nirmala’s Kitchen & Karen Hoyos - prominent Latin speaking coach, among others.
Mariana has a special place in her heart for maternity photography. She considers this to be a very special time in a woman's life when the mother-to-be connects with her unborn child. Of her maternity shoots, Mariana believes that these types of photographs capture “unique memories for an upcoming life”.
However, ultimately finding Mariana considers herself a Wedding Photographer. As such she is tasked with the responsibility of pulling in all of her photography and artistic experience for that one special day. She is able to capture the beauty and essence of several elements at one time so that they can be shared for a lifetime.
With Glyph Creative Studio, Mariana's approach brings together artistic styling and commercial appeal, leaving clients with shots and an experience unlike any other. The belief that is invoked at every shoot “a great snapshot can stop a moment from running away forever.”

I am a Wedding Photographer….
A lot of photographers don’t like to be called a “Wedding Photographer”. They feel it diminishes the quality of their expertise or somehow it takes away from their artistic abilities. But that is not the case by far! If you think about what really takes place at a wedding and what a wedding photographer must do then that way of thinking makes no sense. I am a Wedding Photographer and I consider myself to be at the peak of my craft.
I am an anthropologist. I must capture a momentous occasion without being noticed or interfering.
I am a marketer. I snap photos of objects so that those who were not present can Ooh and Ahh at the beautiful dress or amazing table setting.
I am a journalist. I document a special moment in time in pictures. If not done correctly may be lost or left to stories and misinterpretations.
I am an artist. I capture the landscape, aesthetics and people in a way that brings those that were there back to that moment and those who missed it can live it through the photos.
As a wedding photographer I bring all the different styles of photography into one. I bring my passion of photography and expertise to every shoot. If you are looking for a person who is able to capture your special day so that you can relive the wonderful moments for a lifetime – I am your Wedding Photographer.
