Describe your DJ style:
Fun professional DJs that provide just the right amount of interaction. We play great music for Wedding Ceremonies, Cocktail hour, dinner and dancing all night.
What is your usual attire?
For most weddings we perform in a suit, or sport coat and tie. As with all of our services we will be able to provide you exactly what you want, from formal to casual.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
If there is a song, or style of music that you would like at your wedding, we can provide it. If you would like to provide it to us, we can play your CDs as well.
How many other DJs do you work with?
Garry Robertson has a team of 9 DJs. All with extensive experience from 10 years up through 20+ years producing great Weddings!
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
Our services start at 4 hours, and go for as long as you need.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Depending on what DJ from our team you would like to meet something may be able to be set up. However if you do not know what DJ best suits your event, You can seclude an appointment with our Wedding planers, After discovering what style of interaction and music that you want, we know our staff very well and can pick a great DJ that will be just right for your personality.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
Yes, Italian, Greek, Ukrainian and Portuguese are just some of the weddings that we also specialize in providing great dance music. Visit our online music library on our website. We have very detailed lists of our music collection there.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes we will bring everything and set up prior to your guests arrival. No matter what your wedding requires, we have available. From simple and elegant, to extreme and wild - we can deliver, and have been doing so for over 33 years.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We have an extensive lighting production available. Including Intelligent scanners and mirror ball. Our Custom Name Projection is a great future that many brides and grooms have been using to personalize their weddings.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
Set up takes about 30-40 minutes, however we usually arrive approximately 60 minutes before our contracted start time.
We would require anything from 4 foot to 8 foot table, with 6 feet being the most common.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
We will need space for our speaker stands. For most receptions 2 speakers just to the right and left of our DJ setup is ideal.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
We have Certified MCs available for your wedding reception. During the dance portion of your party, we will engage your audience to create a fun exciting energy when appropriate.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We are able to eat at our DJ setup, to ensure that the music is just right. If we are playing music for your dinner a meal for us is appreciated, however not required.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
no need.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
We always have one of our Certified Wedding DJs on call the night of your event. In the unlikely event that something should happen and your DJ is not able to attend your wedding, out on call DJ will be there.
What is your overtime rate?
Overtime can be arranged at your reception with us. Our overtime rate is $60.00 for 30 minutes or $100.oo for one hour.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
We service from Horseshoe Bay to Abbotsford at no charge. Whistler, Chilliwack and Hope however would require a travel fee, contact us for arrangements.
