Galapagos Art Space has a 1600 square foot lake inside our building, island seating on the lake, and a wrap around mezzanine with operatic ‘box’ style seating surrounding the lake. The venue is an exciting, beautiful venue and there’s no other design like it in New York City. Galapagos Art Space is located in DUMBO, and DUMBO is remarkable. The Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges soar overhead framing the neighborhood, we’re surrounded by sunken cobble-stone streets and cute little shops and the best chocolate in the city is at Jacques Torres. It’s like a manageable, pocket version of Manhattan, but more human and intimate as compared to the city. The views are world-class, and Brooklyn Bridge Park, with its views of the Brooklyn Bridge and lower Manhattan, is an incredible - and timeless - place for wedding photographs.
