FunkyBird store owner Sonja de Graaf was born in The Netherlands in the area of cultivation of tulips. From a very young age she has been working with local farmers and knows the world of flowers and bulbs very well. In 2001 she moved to Florence, where she graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts, and worked as a florist  with 'La rosa canina' owned by Tania and Tommaso Torrini, where she learned the art of flower arrangement. In November 2010 she opened her own flower shop, 'FunkyBird', which offers French-style romantic compositions, described by the contemporary artist Vittorio Corsini, as "watercolors of flowers."
 

FunkyBird specializes in weddings and is also capable to provide photographic services and full wedding planning.
