Do you recommend specific wedding professionals? Did you get referral fees?

Are you present at all vendor meetings? Do you pay the vendor fees and we pay you one lump sum?

We will be present at all vendor meetings that the client wants. If the client has located a vendor that I am not familiar with, we will want to attend the first initial meeting so that we can meet them professionally and offer any input into the services they are recommending to the client. All contracts and deposits are covered by the client. We do not enter into contract with other vendors for the client.

When developing our wedding/event budget, how do you personalize this experience to our needs?

When considering the budget details we will take into account the different people funding the wedding (bride, groom and/or parents of the couple), the geographical location of the wedding, any preset limits by the couple and the different elements of the wedding that the couple stresses as extremely important for their day.

How many hours are you on site the day of the wedding/event?

Each wedding varies and requires different levels of involvement. That will be determined by the couple and the details of their event. We have no pre determined time limit.

Do you charge for an initial meeting? If so, is this amount credited should we hire you?

At this time there is no charge for the first two hours of the initial consultation with the couple. If the meeting runs longer then that there is a charge of $50.00. If we are hired by the couple this amount is credited toward the deposit.

Tips and Advice

The 10 Commandments

I        Spend only what you can afford—and not go into debt. Being in debt is no way to begin married life.

II       Educate yourself. The more you know about the vendors, goods and services you’ll need, the better off you’ll be.

III      Learn about etiquette. You cannot have true elegance without proper etiquette; they go hand-in-hand.

IV     Read the contract, the fine print (and learn to adapt it).

V      Receipt. Always get a receipt and make sure it’s specific!

VI     More does not mean better—and more costs money! Elegant weddings are not vulgar, crass or overdone. They are subtle, tasteful and beautiful.

VII    Don’t forget: you’re the hosts! The wedding reception is the first party that a bride and groom host as husband and wife.

VIII   Don’t forget the step-parents, include everyone.

IX     Apply common courtesy to every aspect of planning your wedding. Always put yourself in the other person’s shoes.

X      Be pleasant and kind.
