I met Rev. Erica though My Heart is Yours Ministry. She is talented, creative, and above all, she wants you to have the ceremony that says what is in your hearts.
Knowing Erica through My Heart is Yours ministry, I've found her to be creative, imaginative, and committed to her couples. When we share ceremony ideas, her words are just right.

Frequently Asked Questions for Officiant
What officiant services do you provide?
Interfaith Ceremony, Non-religious Ceremony, Single Religion Ceremony

What religious affiliations do you serve?
Baha'i Faith, Buddhist, Christian (no denomination), Christian - Baptist, Christian - Catholic, Christian - Episcopalian, Christian - Lutheran, Christian - Methodist, Christian - Mormon, Christian - Orthodox, Christian - Presbyterian, Christian - Quaker, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Shinto

Can you accommodate the hearing impaired?
Yes

Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site?
Yes! All weddings can be held in any location. I've married couples on a boat, at the beach, in a parking lot, on a motorcycle, in your home, in your backyard, on a bridge- just about anywhere!

Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?
Most definitely! My job is to create your ceremony based on your love story.

Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?
Absolutely! I have a Vow worksheet I give to all couples upon booking that is complimentary to my Wedding Guide. It helps you write a love letter to your fiancee on your wedding day.

Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?
Included in my Wedding Guide is readings, poems, quotations, sonnets, inclusions and more from which a couple can either choose or choose their own from their own selection. Your ceremony is a reflection of you and your love story...

Do you require that premarital counseling be done?
I do not require anyone to get counseling prior to marriage. I do however offer the course optionally for those who would like to take it to receive their discount off the cost of their Marriage License.

Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?
In most cases a rehearsal is not required as to most weddings are fairly simple and small. For larger weddings with guests of 30 or more, a rehearsal is recommended to avoid stress and chaos. I do attend rehearsals for a small fee to assist with organizing things prior to the wedding day.

Tips and Advice
When planning for a beach wedding, here are a few things to keep in mind:

-The beach is a lot windier than farther inland. To prevent yourself from eating your hair during the ceremony, use combs, bobby pins or barrettes to securely keep hair in place and away from the face. This allows for you to have a clear view of your guests, husband to be and the camera.

-Shoes are an awful idea for sand. Buy a pair of really inexpensive flip flops or sandals (there are Bride & Groom sandals at Target and most wedding stores) just for the beach.

-To prevent the sand from sticking to you, use Baby Powder on your legs, arms and feet. This will make clean up before the reception a snap!

-Most weddings typically last between 15 to 20 minutes. Many couples think it’s a must to have chairs. While this "sounds" like a good idea, keep in mind tides do change, the sand does make legs sink and you’ll just end up standing in the long run. For those who must have chairs, I do have a couple collapsible lawn chairs. I typically do not provide chairs at weddings I preside over.

-Are there alternatives to veils due to the wind?
Yes! I suggest using clear combs with flowers and combs or bobby pins with swarovski crystals etc. that will make beautiful alternative. If you must wear a veil, bobby pin the sides to your hair to prevent it from being tugged by the wind.

-Everyone knows Florida is the liquid sunshine state. To prevent a potential disaster, if there is even a slight chance of rain, make sure you have a backup location.

-Florida is famous for mosquitos! Use a dryer sheet on your arms, legs, feet and open skin prior to being in a field, grassy area or by the water. This will help keep them at bay. (It’s weird but it works!)
