Frequently Asked Questions for Wedding Planning
What wedding planning services do you offer?
Day-of Coordinator, Full Planning, Partial Planning

How many planners do you work with?
FAVOR Events has a team of four amazingly talented women, each of whom bring unique skills to our clients. The owner works full time and serves as Creative Director on all events. The assistant planners are part-time and work on events as needed once they accept an assignment. The assistant planners work (collectively) an average of 40 - 60 hours a week, more as needed on the weeks leading up to an event.

What style of wedding do you specialize in planning?
Meaningful weddings with an empasis on the couple's interests, both collectively and individually. A stranger should be able to walk into your event and get a sense of who you are.

Do you support or cater to any specific religions?
We work with all religions and have past experience with most types of religious ceremonies.

What sizes of weddings have you coordinated in the past?
FAVOR Events has coordinated elopements and vow renewal ceremonies with only a priest, photographer and the couple in attendance. We have also coordinated small intimate weddings with approximately 50 guests. Our largest wedding to date had slightly over 200 guests in attendance. We are currently in the planning stages of a wedding in which we are expecting approximately 250 guests. Because we have more than one planner on our staff, we can accomodate any size wedding by bringing in as many planners as neccessary to make your day flow properly.

Which venues have you worked at or are familiar with?
We are familiar with many venues around the Atlanta area, including ballrooms, restaurants, hotels, conference centers, event spaces, museums and clubs. Since we maintain strong relationships with our vendors our knowledge of the city's best wedding venues is outstanding.

Tips and Advice
At FAVOR Events, we will work with every budget and every request, however, we do recommend from experience that you do not "skimp" on the following items:

Bride's Dress:  Of course you do not want to break your budget, but if you "settle" for a dress that isn't your choice, you will regret it every time you look at your wedding photos.

Venue:  Your venue is the backdrop for your wedding photos, and seeing the location in the future will bring you real joy.  It doesn't have to be expensive, but it should be really meaningful.  If you have a particular place in mind for your ceremony or reception (or both) and the date is booked, you may want to consider another date if possible.  If you don't get the location you want, you will always wonder "What if?"

Photography:  Speaking of wedding photos, if this is important to you, find a photographer whose style you really love.  It is a terrible feeling to look at your photos and think "I wish they would have done this or that." when you know you paid a pretty penny for their services.  You should feel absolutely elated when you see your photos.  Photos have a way of recapturing the emotions of the day and they work in tandem with your memory.  This is definitely an area to put your money to the test.

Food:  If you are serving any amount of food, even just appetizers, it should be delicious.  Let's face it, people talk, and if you food is yucky not only will they skip out early - they will tell everyone!

Honeymoon:  Couples need this special time to transition from the planning stage, which has been very hectic, to the next phase of your life together.  Many couples (brides especially) say how incredibly bored - even depressed they are after the wedding is over.  They are no longer the center of attention - it can be a difficult time for couples.  Take the time to get away and talk about how you've gotten to where you are and where you are going next.  It goes a long way in mentally preparing you for the "real world" waiting for you back at home.
