I met Josie at a dinner party. Outside, we parked right next to each other in the lot when I knew instantly that she was a cool girl! I could just tell. I was lucky enough to sit next to her at that dinner party as well and got to pick her brain about her experience. I learned a lot more than I thought I ever would have about bridal beauty and about how to pamper a bride to the fullest! Further, I found out that Josie has an awesome shop in Redbank that I will be a regular at.
Josie Vega is not only an AMAZING make-up artist...but is one of the most professional people I know in the industry. She "saved my life" when she came to my rescue to do my own wedding day make-up, when my chosen vendor did not show up! And she's done make-up for our "in common" brides who have been so completely happy with her work. Every one I have referred to her comes back to me and thanks me for hooking them up with the best make-up artist they have ever dealt with! I recommend her whole-heartedly! And....she has the greatest little beauty shop in Red Bank to boot!
Highly recommend Face FX as they do a marvelous job. Perfection always..... easy to work with and brides are always happy with results..... Rene Guarino...... J&R Guarino Photography

Tips and Advice

I believe that no matter what you wear and what makeup you decide to use, on your wedding day, you should look more beautiful and radiant than ever. Because all eyes will be on you, I have put together a few tips worth sharing.

Looking good requires you to feel good. Taking the time to exercise, following good eating practices, and drinking lots of water will help you and your skin look and feel great.

Apart from any facials you may have, it is also important to set up a routine of skin care. Cleansing, toning and moisturizing and the occasional exfoliation treatment are the key to keeping your skin in tiptop condition

If you are getting facials make sure the last one is at least two weeks before your wedding. Deep facial massage and manipulation can cause redness and bumps that may not go away in time for your wedding day.

At your initial consultation, your makeup artist should first discuss with you any skin issues you may have. He/She should also find out if you have any allergies to products or chemicals that you are aware of.
