TESTIMONIALS

I want to say that having Diane as our wedding planner was one of the best decisions that my family made. Your wedding day can be so stressful and having Diane let everybody enjoy the day - we didn't have to worry about the details. Diane is so good at what she does - from our very first meeting I could tell that she was a very detail oriented, conscientious, ORGANIZED person. My mom, my husband and I knew that she would not let things fall through the cracks - we knew we could depend on her. She always looks out for the bride and groom's best interest - no matter what - and that made us very comfortable with her. She was a pleasure to work with and we now consider her a good friend.

Frequently Asked Questions for Wedding Planning
What wedding planning services do you offer?
Day-of Coordinator, Full Planning, Partial Planning

How many planners do you work with?
I have a team of two assistants. When I have a wedding that has the ceremony and reception in two locations or it is a larger wedding with lots of detail, I always will tell the bridal couple that a second (or third) person is required. They are informed of the cost and they pay the assistant the day of the wedding.

What sizes of weddings have you coordinated in the past?
I have coordinated weddings from 20 to 250. Each wedding is unique. The smaller weddings require the same amount of planning as the larger ones do.

Which venues have you worked at or are familiar with?
A sample of the venues where I have worked are The Cable Center, The Chateau at Fox Meadows, Mt. Vernon Country Club, Fossil Trace Golf Course, Stone Mountain Lodge and private homes.

Additional Questions and Answers

How do you charge for your services?

I have put together fees for certain packages and/or services, however, I prefer to meet with my bridal couples first, find out what their needs are and then charge accordingly.  Planning a dream is very specialized and unique to each bridal couple.

Do you receive any referral fees or kickbacks from vendors for your services?

If a vendor offers me a discount or commission, I ask that the amount that would be paid to me be applied towards the total the bridal couple owes.  I do not accept referral fees or kickbacks.

What will you do for me on my wedding day?

Per the terms in the Letter of Agreement that each bridal couple signs, I will be there before the bride arrives, for the duration of the ceremony and reception to ensure that your day flows smoothly and most likely be one of the last to leave.  I interact and help orchestrate the flow for all vendors per the timeline I have designed and interact with the venue’s liaison.  If there are any glitches, I try to ensure that you never know about them.  My job is to make sure that your day is perfect.  That is my goal!

Do you do more than one wedding per day or weekend?

I do not do more than one wedding per day and try not to do more than one per weekend.  I believe that each bridal couple deserves my complete and undivided attention.

What happens if you are unable to be at my wedding or become ill?

I have a team comprised of two assistants. One of them usually is working the wedding with me.  They will both meet the bridal couple.  However, as a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants, I have a network of wedding consultants that I can call upon to help me should this problem arise.  I will never leave any bridal couple “in the lurch”.

Tips and Advice

What’s the one thing most guests remember about a wedding reception?  Was it the decorations?  The venue?  Or perhaps it was the food.  While all of these are worthy of being remembered, a recent survey of brides done by the Colorado Disc Jockey Association came up with a different answer….“152 to 168 brides said that the entertainment is the most important aspect of a successful wedding. If the entertainment was awful, the whole reception will be viewed as awful.”   Think back on any weddings or special events you have attended.  What was the “make it or break it” factor for you?  Have you ever left an event early because you were bored or things were just too dull for you?

When planning the entertainment piece of your wedding, remember that this is the first party you will throw for your friends and family as Mr. and Mrs.  This is not the time to have chamber music playing in the background so the family members who haven’t seen each other since the last wedding or funeral can catch up.  Everyone will either be asleep or be out the door very early.

Choose your DJ or band carefully.  Make it a point to go and see them in action if at all possible.  Are they dressed appropriately for the event?  Do they have back-up equipment just in case?  Ask for references – two or three at the least.  Remember, this is your special day.  Choose your vendors carefully.  Better still; consult with your wedding planner.  They will be able to help you avoid the pitfalls of wedding planning.  Happy Wedding Planning!
