About
Established in 1997 in Arizona.  I ran my business in Arizona until the end of 2003.  I was looking to make a change so I moved to Portland, Oregon in February of 2004 and had Event Team Entertainment running by the end of 2004.  I am Oregon's only Wedding Entertainment Director©, check out www.weddingentertainmentdirector.com to find out more about what this certification means for your Big Day.  I have successfully organized over 1,500 Weddings & Events in my career.  The DJ is not just about the music so meet your Entertainer and find out how they can help you have a Unique, Fun & Memorable day.  We break the mold when it comes to being DJ's & Entertainers.  We offer many enhancements to your special moments that will allow you to give your Wedding a personal feel that represents you.

If I were getting married, I would call Shawn at Event Team Entertainment TODAY! He is one of the most capable wedding entertainers I have ever met or seen perform.
Having a good DJ can make or break an event! When I worked with Event Team Entertainment for the first time 3 years ago, I instantly knew that I could refer them with great assurance that they would provide quality service and create an atmosphere that fit any style of event! I've since worked with each member of their team on numerous accounts and believe me, you will NOT be disappointed!
Event Team Entertainment is the best in the biz, hands down! As a wedding videographer I work closely with dozens of DJs each year and I can say without hesitation that Shawn consistently delivers the most outstanding entertainment and amazing receptions of any DJ I know. He's an absolute professional in all regards and I would strongly recommend him to anyone seeking and exceptional, memorable wedding day experience.
Abernethy Center HIGHLY recommends Event Team Entertainment to anyone looking for a DJ. Shawn and his staff are extremely professional and will ensure your day will be as magical as you dream it to be. Don't be mistaken, they do so much more than just "play" music at the reception. They work with you to orginize your bridal party for the ceremony, they are also the ones who will make sure everyone knows when you are arriving to the recpetion, when it is time for your first dance, when dinner is being served, and when your cake cutting and toast are. They keep your party flowing! Event Team also offers some great slideshow/video options as well as great lighting options for a tent or ballroom. We at Abernethy Center feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with Event Team Entertainment as much as we do. We recieve nothing but rave reviews from all of our clients that have booked Event Team Entertainment for thier weddings & events. Over the last seven years Abernethy Center has seen quite a few DJ's, and a DJ can really make or break your event. Our staff has never got as excited as they do when they see that our next client has chosen Event Team Entertainment for their special day!
I met Shawn through the American Disc Jockey Association in the Summer of 2007 and I can't begin to explain what a privilege it is to know him. He is a member of the Wed. Guild and is genuinely interested in raising the bar for the entire wedding entertainment industry!
Shawn Wittemore is a fabulous example of what to look for in a quality DJ Entertainer. With many more skills than the "DJ" title infers, Shawn is certain to surprise you with his wide scope of entertainment knowledge, experience, and "can-do" energy. Having personally associated since 2005, I will endorse Shawn and Event Team as being one of the true leaders in the industry in our area. His dedication to professionalism, continuing education, and association puts him in an outstading postion in relation to his competition.
Love working with Event Team, very professional and always helpful.
Event Team is an outstanding example of what a Wedding Entertainment company should be. Shawn is doing things at Weddings that only a handful of DJ's in the country do. He was recently chosen to be a member of the Wedding Entertainment Directors Guild, a leader in the industry that has set the bar for quality entertainment at Weddings. Very few DJ's in the country have done this. What Shawn can bring to your Wedding is uniqueness, a great work ethic, professionalism and a day that will be remembered forever. In addition, he networks with other companies in the industry to keep up with current trends-yet at the same time, he is a trend setter. As a colleague in the Wedding Entertainment industry, I can tell you that Event Team is one of the best DJ companies in Oregon and has earned my complete endorsement.
We have known and worked with Shawn for over 4 years. He is by far THE BEST DJ we know! He is extremely professional yet down to earth and easy to talk to and work with. He cares about his clients and knows how to throw the best parties. The dance floor is always packed when Shawn and his team are there. Not only does he know how to make a party happen but he helps with the flow of the day and creates seamless ceremonies and receptions. There are never timing issues or lulls in the day when you have Shawn working for you. He is EXCELLENT!!
As the owner of Shields Films I have worked with plenty of DJ's over the years and Event Team Northwest is by far the best around. A cheesy DJ can overtake your reception and ruin your big day, but Shawn and his team are classy and professional. Highly recommended.
