Set within the natural beauty of seaside Cape Ann, The Essex Conference Center and Retreat is tucked amidst 18 acres of white pines and oaks. Less than a mile from the ocean and surrounded by 250 acres of estuary and conservation land, its beautifully landscaped grounds are punctuated by sculptures and artistic treasures, as well as a waterfall, and a lily covered koi pond.

Your Wedding Reception will feature elegant appetizers and a sumptuous meal, all perfectly prepared by our Executive Chef. Choose from an array of delicious entrees and appetizers. Our Chef will meet with you to provide guidance in your menu choices.

The Center, celebrating its 25th year, hosts celebrations for up to 160 people. Just 45 minutes north of Boston, the Center offers an Inuit fire circle, wood-fired sauna, and large indoor hot tub. The Center can accommodate up to 44 overnight guests and makes it easy for family and friends who will travel from afar to celebrate with you.

We are excited about changes to the center for the 2010 wedding season. All of the rooms in our main building have fresh new colors and our reception tent floor has been upgraded. During your planning process and throughout your time at the Center you will be greeted by new and senior staff.
