Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
All images are color corrected and edited my me, Erin Chapman. I generally choose images and create duplicates as black and white/sepia, or personally edited.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have experience with all kinds of lighting.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I work in digital, with multiple lenses and lighting equipment and plenty of back up gear. Digital imaging allows photographers to take an unlimited number of images, giving us the chance to photograph every event during the day. Digital is faster, more reliable, and lets us capture your day with ease and not miss a shot!
How many photographers do you work with?
I work as a single photographer usually with an assistant. If necessary, I do have second shooters available.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes!
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Never more than one wedding per day! There is a chance I could have more than one in a weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes!
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
All digital, plenty of lenses, lighting equipment, and back up gear.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes!
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I charge per package - generally no less than 5 hours. I do offer additional coverage by the hour at $150.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Only one for a meal.
Do you charge for travel?
Events more than 2 hours away require a night - stay. I do charge extra for this.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Within 30 days. I try to get your event up and ready for viewing as soon as I can - I know the best time to look at your photographs is when everyone is still excited about the event!
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
I use an online proofing, ordering and sharing website. You can view each image and click through, or you can view a slideshow of each folder. You can also add images to your favorites folder!
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Online proofing is available for 3 months. You may purchase extra time if necessary for $10 per month.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
A disc of digital files is included in packages with an album order of $500 or more. Additionally, you can purchase a disc of your images for $375. All discs are delivered at the end of the 3 month online viewing period or with delivery of your album.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes!
What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer a variety of albums, each custom designed for your images! I offer flush-mount, matted and a combination of both - all with a variety of cover materials!
When will the client get the final album?
Albums must be ordered within 6 months of your event, or you will be charged the current album price. Designing an album is a process - I give 3 drafts, and printing generally takes 6-8 weeks.
