About Us
Dining at Equinox is a regional and seasonal experience. Chef Todd Gray has remained true to his roots in the mid Atlantic region by showcasing local products with a firm grip on traditional culinary technique, and distinguishes his cuisine by respecting the tastes of the modern palate. This culminates in imaginative yet comprehensible and balanced cuisine. This philosophy is extended even into the design of the restaurant. The decor is simple and refined. The colors are muted earth tones. There are several different rooms to experience within the restaurant from the atrium to the private wine room.

The Atrium & Patio
The perfect room for a rehearsal dinner or small wedding reception or luncheon, the Atrium is a lovely, glass-enclosed dining room and a weather-permitting, street-side garden. Patrons can view the block just in front of the White House and other famous DC landmarks while dining on the temperature-controlled sidewalk.  The atrium is open all year long and can be completely closed off to accommodate large parties of up to 55 people. The accoustics are perfect for giving toasts with or without a microphone.  There is a food and beverage minimum purchase with an Atrium buy-out, not inclusive of tx and gratuity.  A signed contract and a $500 deposit are required to confirm a hold on the Atrium.

The Entire Restaurant
For wedding receptions, the entire restaurant is available for up to 100 for a seated dinner or buffet dinner (120 with the patio) and 200 for a standing reception (240 with the patio).  Reserving the entire restaurant means it is yours for the night, and Todd Gray can work personally with you to create a menu that fits your personality, your favorite foods,or any special wedding theme.  There can be room for a live band and dance floor depending on the number of guests.  With many existing relationships with local vendors, we are prepared to help you with your wedding whether or not you have a wedding planner. There is a food and beverage minimum purchase for a restaurant buy-out, not inclusive of tax and gratuity. A signed contract and $1,000 deposit are required to confirm a hold on the entire restaurant.

The Private Wine Room
Just off the main dining room, this room can be closed off completely for smaller private affairs of up to 12 people. The wines for the restaurant are stored in
shelves in the private room, imparting the feeling of dining in an exclusive cellar.   This is a wonderful room for a bridal shower or small, intimate engagement party.
